I can't wait until the system crashes, then they'll have to go back to getting taxes the old fashioned way, like in Robin hood "You want to enter my forest, you must pay a tax"

Done and filed a long time ago, but sadly I didn't realize I could have claimed the $1200 camera we bought... sad.

Jeremy - it's called an amended return....file it. Those hundreds of dollars in actual savings are YOURS - not Uncle Sam's.

Finished them Monday by which I mean, handed them to someone and got them done, and they've been efiled. Sometimes I'm really good at getting them done and this year it's all last minute.

5 min to pay the minor amount due
done.

why does everybody make it seem so complicated? If you set it up right from the start, there's no hassle at all.

Or do you just need all that extra time to figure out what lies will be told to justify all those added deductions?

Waiting for UPS to deliver today so that I can review and then have accountant efile. I know that by all past experience with UPS, they will not deliver until around 6PM but dare not leave the house because if I do, then it stands to reason they will come at 2PM. Double dam

Wow, 2/3 did them awhile back. I wish I could say the same about previous years, but I got them done in January this year. Got a lot of loot back. :-) Maybe I should save or invest... or buy more toys from woot!

Not everyone makes the same amount every year. I for example moved, got a new job, graduated from college, got a new car and other things this past tax year.

Finished that a few months ago. Got refund. Paid off credit cards. Adjusted with-holdings to avoid loaning Uncle Sam money interest free for months at a time.

I did mine in Late January, but when I found out I owe Uncle Sam and the wonderful State of Delaware..I have put it off as long as possible to actually file.. haha!

Eh, took care of it months ago. Don't own property or lots of investments so it wasn't too difficult. Since I followed the instructions on how many witholdings to elect, the return was quite small--as it should be.

I don't have to file taxes. Life is good!!!!

Did mine on January 12th. The IRS wasn't accepting returns when I filed mine; I had to wait a week. They are the slackers in this case!

April 17th. A couple of extra days this year on account of the weekend.

Just think, if either Congress or the IRS was less than 20 years behind the technology, at least 2/3 of tax filers wouldn't have to do a thing.

Besides, you probably missed something!

I had my taxes done the day after my W2 arrived, my refund less than a week later.


... and had it spent within hours.

I'm doing mine online, mine are mostly done but am waiting to have my dad double-check everything to make sure I did everything correctly. Should've probably done it earlier, but it'll be done on time so I'm not bothered.

Actually, a smart move. If you get a return... file ASAP, if you owe, delay your payment.
