Well, how do you fare compared to the Zeitgeist? Chat up your fellow wooters and let us know how lame this poll was or what obvious choices we missed. For example: Was this poll a) STUPID, b) DUMB, c) POINTLESS or d) ALL OF THE ABOVE?

I used to sit inside by the air conditioner, but children LOVE being outside, so that's where I am dragged. I've started putting up stuff to attract songbirds because it's much more interesting that way.

Gah, I hate them! Every time someone walks into the office, they start shouting, "It's so BEEEEAUTIFUL outside, you MUST GO OUT!" (making it sound like this is the first time, ever, in the 4.5 billion years since Earth formed, that the temperature has gone over 50F degrees)

They then open all the windows, inhale like there's been an air shortage, remind me how beeeeautiful it is, and go back outside leaving an office full of flies, blown about papers, and my Asperger sensitive skin screaming and cringing from the assault of "beeeeautiful air."

I quite agree with you about how people act about this. And what's with the shorts and flip-flops at 50 degrees? I grew up in Houston - we still wear real clothes when it is 95.

am usually stuck at work til the really nice day is over or close enough to being over.

If, by some miracle, there happens to be a super nice day on my day off, I try to sit outside and enjoy a good read. If there happens to be a supermiracle, there will be 2 nice days before my day off, my day off will be nice too, and my lawn will be dry enough to mow.

So far that supermiracle hasn't happened since... like August '11 (oh darn)

Super nice is a relative term. One person's "super nice" is another person's hot, sticky, and blinded by glare.

Many people would consider my version of "super nice" to be gloomy and chilly. Mostly cloudy and 72F is my idea of a perfect day. Direct sunlight is highly overrated.

Aaaaahhh, it was 91 degrees yesterday with 5% humidity. I played golf and it was glorious.
Spring in the desert is wonderful.

It is supposed to get to almost-100 this weekend. Can't wait!!

As my Seattle-loving brother says: "it's like living on the face of the sun."

I'm not far off. I like mid-60s, with a light breeze and a few clouds. When people here in Iowa get all excited about an 85-degree day, I'm already planning on how to survive such extreme weather. Because 85 in Iowa is so much worse than 110 in the desert, where I grew up.

Here in South Florida, super nice is 72 degrees, not too much sun, low humidity. Then I open windows, and enjoy. Maybe even take in a round of golf.
Normal is 85-92 degrees (98 in the sun), 85% humidity, and I want to hide inside with the a/c unit on high.

In super nice days in the spring, I try to avoid feeling like I am going to die from tree pollen.

Ya wimps! 90+ days with high humidity! I don't even have a/c in my house!

I reserve the right to gripe about anything below 70 or over 80 and little or no humidity. And anybody that says, "Would you rather have it freezing or 90" is just asking to be slapped.

Well, another day has passed and I didn't use algebra once.

Hmmm. I don't really do any of these on nice days. I suppose the closest would be 'go for a long drive, walk or bike ride'.

What I end up doing is yard work on nice days. I just love that.

Just because someone disagrees with you doesn't mean that they hate you, or anyone else.

I live in Florida, so naturally, I answered "hide inside by the air conditioner". Most people's idea of a "nice" day seems to be hot and miserable. I never understand it when the weather guy gets excited about hot weather...it's awful.
