I have this very camcorder (at least I think, I have the Q10 and it's a SwitchGrip). You can chose between "Full HD" 1080i, "HD" 720p, and "SD" 480p/i (not sure which). Overall I'm pretty happy with it. Personally I always record in 720p for the very reason that the Full HD video is interlaced. At 720p, a 16GB SD card will give me 145 minutes of video and a 4GB will do about 40 or so.

Also I got mine for $75 brand new on clearance at one of my local Sears.
