I am a Buffet fan, but never felt a fan buffet. I have 2 grown children with 20 fingers. Never felt our fan blades were threatening the total.

Sure! Doesn't everybody? The music played through my 975 watt max peak power Pioneer and 3" woofers 1" tweeters speaker system sound much better now that I am using #6 Monster speaker wire @ $2.85/foot. Also I see a HUGE difference on my 22" 1080P LED HDTV with my 3' Monster HDMI cable I bought for $57!
I think I might just go out for an i-Phone 5S and a Dyson bladeless fan.

Buy a 12" table fan at Walmart for $15, cover the entire blade area with 1/8" blue foam rubber to hide the fan and decrease effeciency to about 30% (like the Dyson), market it as bladeless (because you can't see the fan) and sell it for $95. Dyson now has bladeless fan competition!

I can purchase a ceiling fan at this price. And 2 really nice ones at the original price. And they are quiet, move tons of air, and some even have remote controls.
Maybe they should make ceiling fan versions of these? Hmmmm

And to the guy that say a con was you cant mount them on a wall. What fan does mount on a wall? If a fan is against the wall, it can't take in air.....

That is EXACTLY the first thought that came to my mind when I saw Dyson's new commercial on TV about how they make solutions to whatever problems.

I think Dyson over bought vacuum blower assemblies and found a way to use them in something else. "Let's put it in something and call it a bladeless fan! It's as loud as a vacuum cleaner but we'll tell everyone that all fans should be this way."

I've never had a problem with a fan buffeting before. This would be useful if you have a kid like mine that likes to get in trouble and would stick something in a regular fan.

They call it "bladeless" because technically the part which blows at you is bladeless.

In for one. This price is just too good to pass up. I've been eying one of these since they came out, but the price was holding me back from purchasing. I already own a Dyson upright vacuum and and handheld vacuum and I am very impressed with their quality. I've had the upright about 8 years (far longer than any other vacuum I've ever owned) and it's still going as strong today as the day I bought it. If this fan is as good of quality as other Dyson products, then I'm sure I'll be very happy and it will be a long time before I have to buy another fan.

There is nothing funner with these than showing them to someone who has never seen a bladeless fan & sticking your hand through it. The reactions are priceless!

Everyone is being absurdly obtuse. Do you see blades? No? Then it's a bladeless fan. Having a fan inside of it really has nothing to do with the fact that the part that blows air doesn't have blades.

So I was watching television last night and a commercial from Dyson comes on advertising this fan! They would not give a price but said it is 20% off at their dealers this weekend, whatever that might mean.

But as the fan is really in the base, it's pretty small... and when it gets going... it whines up pretty loudly.

Get a bigger fan, and run it at a lower speed... moves more air, at a much lower audio level.

5.28 gallons per sec = 42.36 CFM
