Hillary Clinton IS Leia.

All she needs is sticky buns on her ears to complete the look.

Write in: Lando

I think it should be Lando Calrissian, if for no other reason than he is a shrewd businessman who understand the economic struggles and needs of the populace, and could best serve the Republic in a position of power such as Supreme Chancellor.

Lando Calrissian could single-handedly save the United States from our current economic crisis within a year. I have no doubt he could bring the Republic back to a golden age if given the opportunity.

Vote for prosperity. Vote Lando.

I chose Yoda, but then I realized, he's dead... So, I am going to have to pick Princess Leia. She has the political experience and she is the most level headed.

Why was she not included in the original Poll? She's really the only one qualified.

bleekii wrote:First of all it's a republic after the fall of the empire so the central leadership isn't as important.

Secondly, are you really that blindly sexist?!? All men, really? Because there's this character called Princess Leia who is a Princess of the old republic and has spent her entire life fighting the empire. I mean she lost her planet to the empire. And do you remember that's she's one awarding the metals at the end of the Ep. IV?

Vader and Yoda are dead. They are out. Per the Jedi Code, it can't be Luke nor Chewbacca. The only one of the choices left is Han, but since he would never qualify, it would have to be his wife, princess / senator Leia.
Unfortunately, Lucas never got around to writing the last three parts of the epic, so we don't know the future as he sees it. Too many crappy novels were written to give the opinions of other authors as to the future. So it lies to the unwritten future to determine who would be leader of the Republic.

They don't give a time frame.... and yoda is 1,000+ years old. Hence....the question can still be valid when Yoda was 50 years old. Which would place everyone else on the list not even in existance at this point!

If Leia doesn't accept the candidacy, I'm going to go with Cthulhu.

I'd like to see Vader choke Cthulhu to death.
