Morning everyone. Beautiful day here, too.

Well, another day has passed and I didn't use algebra once.

Poof - the show was an original and the performers are mentally challenged children. It had a lot of music and dance, and it was heartwarming to see the performers and how well they did.

Dwan - how is Rusty? Did you get a report and is he now OK to be out and about again>

Ice, the minute I hit send on my message I realized I had said "father" instead of fil. I am glad that he can see with glasses and hope that someday, if he wants to, he can get a good lens.

Just saw the film about the Hotel in India (name escapes me, my bad) with Judy Dench, Maggie Smith and Dev Patel. My friend and I enjoyed it - most likely because we are both old. Not sure how someone younger would feel. Then to a Mexican restaurant - really good chicken Quesadea (sp?) - now indigestion of course.

Have a good night everyone.

Hello. Was reading on the deck this evening. We haven't had any chairs there, because it has to be stained, but I finally decided it's probably going to be a couple of weeks at least, so I hauled a chair out there. Actually, it was my new patio recliner. Upright for reading, but reclined for napping. Maybe tomorrow.

Well, another day has passed and I didn't use algebra once.

Jerk neighbor, bought the house two houses down from me and wants to flip it.
In this economy.

Well, the second set of tenants look like they moved out yesterday.

I heard they were just renting until they could close on a house they bought.

The jerk owner came and did some cleaning.
Put out a bunch of garbage and took off.

Except he left the front door open. Screen door is broken, so it might very well open in the wind.

It is raining.

I guess tomorrow, when I'm sure all 4 people moved out, I might close it.

Of course, this is the guy who told my next door neighbor to mind his own f--kin business when the neighbor asked when he was going to cut the grass.

Maybe we should.

Still trying to figure out how he thinks he is going to flip it.
He paid 325,000. Lowest any house has gone for. But not that much lower. House around the block, same house, also in bad shape, sold for 340 a year before.
Guy bought it. Had a cleaning company come in. Put the for sale sign up again and rented it.
This is a 60 year old house that has never been updated.
He wants 100 grand more than he paid!
Jerk.

I sure wouldn't close the door. He's not nice, why should anyone be nice to him?

There were 3 men, one woman and a baby in the house.
We were wondering if he was renting it by the bedroom.
But it could be they were all together.
It will take a day or two to be sure they all moved, not just the couple and baby.

4 adults and one bathroom would be weird if they weren't all related, but heck, it could happen.

In two more weeks, I'll call the town on the lawn again.
That will be 4 weeks since he mowed.

Who is going to rent it looking so unkept?

Hey all. Went to a friend's 40th birthday party. He played with two of his bands, his daughters all got up and did a couple songs. His father-in-law did a set, and a punk rock band from his wife's business did the closing set. Pretty fun night, but the kids spent half of it in the park sandbox... At least they should all sleep through the night.

You know you're old when the lead singer of friend's second band was in your 5's and 6's Sunday School Class, that you taught.

If I could find a decent radio station I doubt the supermarket would ever play the stuff I'd listen to ;)

Now we take bets on how long until my flower girl sends out wedding invites - considering she was a year older at my wedding than I was at her mother's wedding, and my oldest is the same age I was, it shouldn't be too long.

Richard Dawson died. Bummer.

Not looking good for Rustin. He's not eating, and still not walking and appears to be in pain. He's going back to the vet later this morning.

Hey wooters!

Finally back to the semi-routine after a couple weeks on the road. Not even going to try to read back at this point.

Am I too late to the party for griping about Woot (yet again!) changing the website layout? I think d'name nailed the problem on the head this time... too much clutter. whatever happened to "one day, one deal?" Part of what made woot so charming (aside from the snarky item writeups) was the simplicity. At this rate, they'll be just another generic web retailer by the next "update."

maybe it's better this way. High probability that I'll have a new job by the end of the month, and new workplace is a much more intimate setting -- will be a lot harder to get away with wasting so much time online.
