I'm spending the evening opening and closing the door for a very vocal cat. He didn't get let out much while I was gone. He's protesting.

No doubt. Little fart lost his collar somewhere last night too so I had to go get him a new collar and tag this evening.

I hate this cat.

Kids in bed. Programmer in NY just told me she's going to send me new copies of her program in the morning, so there is no point in converting the version I have tonight.

Good morning everybody! Bad weather yesterday and last night. Hope it's over for a while. We jogged and used the total gym yesterday. I did 10 reps of the beginner exercises. LOL ouch. We jogged very slowly this morning! I can't believe that I don't already look like what's her name. Christie Brinkley.

Thread killer - I am going to get a new nic - Anyhow, out to dinner with friends - down by the water, and sun finally came out 10 min ago! A little late, but perhaps we will have a great sunset.

No, I killed it a week ago.

F-I-L has his glasses and can now officially see.
A/c sabers have installed a new compressor. We'll see if that did the trick.

Went to lunch with mom and some stepfamily.

As usual, one person ran the bill up double the next highest person.
Oddly, that person didn't pay at all. Her mom pays her share (full grown adult) Well, most of her share, somehow I paid double what I should have.

On Mothers day, we always split the bill by # of families. Not size of family.
Of course, the largest family was the only one to order drinks! There was wine on the table, but they ordered 7 beers.

Why does the guy who pays the least, always order the most????

because they pay the least, they don't suffer the cost. there's little incentive for them not to order more.

It was only an extra $10 for me. It is more a principal thing.
As for the other family dinner, after all these years, we know exactly who is going to abuse the split check.

Please tell me that Howard Stern is horrible so I don't have to watch this train wreck.... I still have my DVR set to record it from last season. I couldn't stand Howie Mandel, he's quite possibly the least funny "comedian" that can still get work on TV. But I do love me some variety acts and AGT is the only show on TV where you can see them. *sigh*

It is the beginning. I don't watch once it gets going. I just watch the first few shows.

Howard isn't that bad, but I never had a problem with him.
Use to watch his TV show....they would edit down a day of radio to a 1/2 hour tv show. Then he went to pay radio.

Pro tip: get seprate bills
don't understand this, in my family either we all pay our own way or we argue over who gets to pay. (usually this ends with one family member stuffing a (few) $20 in another family members purse when they aren't looking, although if my grandma wants to pay we usually let her. As she is the oldest member of the family she gets special privileges)

Still single, can't imagine why.

We did split the bill....I'm just not exactly sure how.
The 2 college girls had cheaper meals, so that should have offset the extra the adult daughter had. So if it was divided by 6, it should have worked out.

Private place, not a chain.
$8 to $13 bucks for lunch, including a bowl of soup or a nice salad. Looked like the same size portion as I would want for dinner.
