Gripe:

Raining fairly hard today. Was driving on the highway.
I would say 5 to 10% of the cars didn't have their lights on.
Visibility was a few hundred feet, at best.
If the state needs money, why don't they pull over all those cars????
It is so hard to change lanes or see a car in the rain when cars are throwing up water from their tires on the highway.

Hell, it could be dangerous trying to pull over cars in the rain on a high speed road....so do it on the normal roads! It is easier to see cars on the normal roads, but if it is raining, it is still the law to turn on your lights.

Next car gripe:
Dark tinted windows on the front windows of a car.
How do they see out at night or in the rain?
You can't see if the driver sees you when walking or at a stop sign.
I thought it was against the law because cops want to see the driver?
Ticket them!!!

I have another:
Around here it is never more than a few miles from one exit on a highway to the next. Sometimes only a mile.
Yet people will cut you off (happened in the rain today, plus his lights weren't on) or even worse BACK UP if they miss it.
We are talking 5 minutes to go to the next exit and backtrack.

Done

For now.

The 2 college girls had cheaper meals, so that should have offset the extra the adult daughter had. So if it was divided by 6, it should have worked out.

Sorry, brain fart, I meant get separate bills.

You didn't eat yesterday?

I hate to say this, but maybe you need to go smoke some pot. Just don't like it too much.

All of the cafeterias closed in my area - not one in 100 miles. I used to enjoy them.

I posted obviously in reply to your suggestion for cafeterias and here it is on life insurance policies for kids. Maybe it is a message not to take kids to cafeterias. Mine loved it.

I hate it when people think they are getting away with something by splitting the bill when they have knowingly ordered way more in food and drink than everyone else. A little bit of money is not so bad, but we actually went out with a couple a few years ago who saw friends across the room, and the husband, who is a social climber big time sent bottles of wine to people he knew. When the bill for food and drink came, they tried to split it and I spoke up and said no way. My husband was mortified, but it made a difference of aboout $75 and that was a long time ago when $75 was a week of my salary.

Driving by on my way to the school. School play today at 12:30 and tomorrow at 6. Made 10 costumes last night because the costumes they thought they had weren't enough costume to be called that AND three kids did get full costumes, so if you got the 2"x 30" strip of fake fur for your caveman outfit, well I know how I would have felt. Teacher slipped me some cash for fabric, didn't even spend it all. So I'll give him back the change, I know what he doesn't get paid and he's silly enough to not get the money from his class PAT account.

Unfortunately/Luckily there is a nasty bug going around town and a bunch of kids are sick 4 kids in the class most likely won't make it to the performance and I have 2 extra costumes that were loaned to us so we should be ok. Plus I'm taking extra fabric and scissors. I can always make another one on the fly.

Afternoon all.

AZ, did you call the doc?

I hate splitting bills, even if you ordered the same thing. Then there's the awkwardness of the tip if one prefers to tip more than the other.

We either have one person pay for all (family) or pay what we ordered for, even if that means writing a check for the person that initially covers the check. Then each person leaves an individual tip or if they don't have cash asks the person with the card to add X for their tip and puts it on their check.

It's easier for us that way because I usually have the most people since the kids go everywhere with us. It's ignorant to pretend the kids meals don't add up to as much or more than an adult meal.

Took Rusty for a shot.

Ended up with xrays, meds, bedrest and no shot.

No walks for 2 weeks.

See. I stop going to the vet every time I think something is different, and bam, something was wrong!

Maybe sprained muscle, might be something worse.
Two weeks of no walks and meds every day, then new xrays.

No limping. Just not running anywhere near as much, some yelping when playing rough, not wanting to walk as much.
