I agree.

And I preferred the typing box on the right side of the screen.

FYI, if you want, you can drag the triangle in the bottom right corner down to stretch out the dialog box (make it longer). That'll help with longer posts or quotes/replies.

This isn't working like you said.

You want to click & hold on the triangle (either dots or lines) in the lower right corner of the text box on the screen where you create/edit your posts. Drag it down to lengthen the text box.

New Woot is very busy. Gonna have to get used to it.

Colors are just a tad too bright for my taste. If they just toned it down a little? The kids orange is a little hard to read.

However, I really like the tabs at the top!!!

I don't see a triangle or dots. but if I hover my mouse in the lower right hand corner it changes my cursor and I can click and lengthen the box.

I really wish it was wider though!!

Hmmmmm, I see the triangle in FF & Chrome. Not in IE8 (I don't have 9 yet) and I can't resize in IE8. What are you using?

Good morning all. I just got here. I am using IE8 and the typing box for this post is far left almost off the screen. OK, but different. I have not gone through the site yet, so movin' on for the moment.

Mine is about 3" off the left side but I have a wide screen monitor.

I wish that woot could make the cursor land after the quoted reply when replying to a post.

So many times I end up typing over the text of the post I'm replying to.

I just don't know if it's woot, FF or my 'puter.

That's really good feedback. I'll pass it on but could you also do so via the BETA FEEDBACK button at the top?

Found everything I needed to see. However, my eyes got REALLY tired by the extreme bright white after reading about 10 pages of posts on reactions to the new site. How to turn the white down a notch without killing the colors? What was with the facebook stuff over the weekend; are we headed in that direction or is this the end of the making over for awile at least? I do not have and will not use a FB account - hate it.

I have IE 9 and I've been all over the lower right-hand corner and nothing lengthens it.

And speaking of lengthening it, ThunderThig....

Well, another day has passed and I didn't use algebra once.

Edit: I do like the big block for "post." I frequently used to click on "cancel" by mistake.

The bright seems to be a common problem. It was so bad last night both Orc and I found it painful to read, even when we went to other sites. That's not good. Orc and I also find the main pages to be very crowded. It's kinda a lot of clicking to actually get to the deal information now. I'm sure the less affluent will get most confused about where to find the specs information.

I found the dragging buttons I wish they went to the right and not just down. The box feels too narrow on a laptop.

Welcome back KDC!!!! I think you know we missed you!

Happy Memorial Day everyone!!! Thank you GMan and all others who have and do serve. May today be a wonderful special day with family for you all.

Anyone here know anything about garage doors? Something happened to one of the springs. Husband says when it's open, both springs are taut; when closed, one sags. Doesn't sound good to me.

Sounds like the spring might be starting to show it's age. You can tighten them fairly easily, you just have to make sure you tighten it in the right direction. If the door is still raising and lowering ok, I wouldn't worry too much. If it's harder to open or falls more than closes, when before it didn't that could be the spring failing.

I'm not an expert, but I did help move one garage door and install it and a new one, with my dad.

I'm not having a problem with the brightness and can't figure out why if most other people are. I did when they made their last change, but they fixed it.

I'm not checking in as frequently as I was because it's giving me headaches. I'm extremely photosensitive. I'd turn down the brightness on my laptop, but then all non-woot pages would be too dark. I'm not sure why this is moer painful than other white pages (all of which bug me a little), but it's worse. If I knew why, I'd make a suggestion to fix it.
