It was indeed. Good, times, good times.

I can't say it is for everyone, but my life became so much better since I moved to Poland. Must be something in the (bottled) water!

I agree! I'm a bit jealous myself. We used to have gatherings like that, before kids. I keep saying will do that again someday, my neighbors here are such isolationists though, it hasn't led to any real socializing. Not that I'm a bunch better, alas.

Oh well off to work, two days left of the school year. Tomorrow I get to scrub down the multipurpose room, what an anniversary present!

Don't worry KT, it can happen again. Remember I am a bit older than you!

Have fun scrubbing!

HI, it is I again, that is if anybody notices. Third gray, cloudy, muggy day in a row. Weather is not as advertised lately.

Gray and drizzly for the most part. I like it, but it doesn't help everyone's mood, which in turn brings me down.

I'm just hanging out, really.

Well if it helps you, I LOVE the overcast, cool, slightly drizzly weather! It's one of the few times I can go outside comfortably (as long as I don't get too many water drops on the glasses). If I wasn't still feeling a bit crappy from yesterdays over abundance of sunshine and heat it would be a PERFECT day!

They keep swearing they are when the sun is out. ;) Which I don't blame them, honestly, because when it is beautiful and bright out I have noticed it's incomparable in awesomeness to anywhere else.

Living where I live, the community is great, the weather good if you like having a winter with snow, but you pretty much have to be willing to live poor since good paying jobs are really rare and housing is very expensive (by comparison). The art teacher was packing up today, he's moving to Arkansas because he just can't earn enough here. He was telling me how he really doesn't want to live back there again, he loves the community and weather here so much better.

If he doesn't like Arkansas, why is he going back there? Lots of other places to live. Surely not the ONLY place to look for work.

He doesn't dislike it so badly that the money won't cover his discomfort. Most of his issues with going back are weather based - at least that he has shared. The biggest problem is that Idaho doesn't believe in arts education, so there are only a handful of full time jobs statewide. Even then, our teachers make the least out of almost all the states, and specialty teachers less than primary subject teachers. Patching together jobs is extremely difficult here and the odds of it improving are really low. Rent is high and he's living in a loss. The art teachers in Arkansas (at least where he is going) are all starting to retire and they have a teacher salary that would make an Idaho science teacher with football bonus supremely jealous. No it's not the only place, but he was there before so he has local references and already has two offers.

Under the "Learn something new" category. I was trying to find out if the term was "peel out" or "peal out" and they're both all over the place. Finally found one article that said it's "peel" because you literally peel a layer of rubber off the tires. Makes sense.

Well, another day has passed and I didn't use algebra once.
