so I am looking at live traps....need to catch a feral cat and decided I am gonna buy my own trap. can't decide if I want the 30" or the 36" long trap. (I know, I know.....you'd say just shoot it and be done with it lol)
What are the pluses/minuses of either?

Lynnzoi wrote:only diff is overall length. Am thinking the 30" is prob better....easier to carry when there's a crazy cat inside it. That extra length on the 36" just gives them more room to run back and forth. Difference in price is negligible.....three bucks.
Oh; in that case, just shoot it.

Mrs. Ice and I took her father and mother on a ride on the local commuter train then out for lunch. It wore me out but they really enjoyed it so it made it worth while. Had a crazy dude sit across from us on the return trip, insisted on talking to us all the way. I'm a crazy person magnet.I'm not sure what that says about me.

Good morning! Took the dogs for a long walk in the forest and then they swam in the lake. Well Stanley, the older one swam anyway. Bella is still a little unsure about it. I was throwing a stick for Stanley and he swam out to get it. He looked like he was so happy doing what he was born to do, swimming to retrieve things. Now off to have pizza with the stepson, his wife and our grand kid.

Hubby will probably want to go to the local flea market. I'll buy veggies. Might give the big lab another bath. When we went back to NC, we found daughter had new kittens with fleas. The lab came back to the beach with fleas. I don't see how they can survive all the flea treatment!
Hi, we use Advantix, made by Bayer, I am not sure if they call it that in the US. We put it on the dogs once in the spring and they stay tick and flea free all the time. We have a real tick problem here, I had one on ME last year! It was on my lower back so I didn't notice it for a while. I went to the doctor and got antibiotics and no Lymes fortunately.

Lynnzoi wrote:Advantix does have something in it that is toxic to cats if they ingest it. I use it on my dogs and just keep them away from the cats until it dries. It is labelled to use every 30 days. I admit that I do not apply it that often, but I do apply it more than once per season. Avantage Multi is Advantage (which only kills fleas) with a broad-spectrum dewormer in it, it also helps treat ear mites. It does not, however, offer any tick protection.
Yeah, I just read the box and it says 30 days for ticks, 60 days for fleas. We have been using it for 3 years and put it on in late spring and don't have any problems all summer. I haven't ever seen a flea here although I am sure we have them but it is tick heaven. Our dogs and cats get along but there is no oral involvement so that's not a problem. (Waiting for no 1's take on that last sentence.)
