Have to admit, I just had a 20 minute nap. Didn't know there were rules.

And you never answered me from a few posts ago.

Well, another day has passed and I didn't use algebra once.

I've never bought a slice of pizza in my life, except maybe at a festival or something like that.

Was 106 here today I think. Now, at midnight it is down into the 80s.

And by 80s I mean 89.7 °F

Hi Fen!

Hot here too. Thank goodness no storms that would knock out the AC.

It's only 75 here now, with a dewpoint of 70. Ugly. The lowest high for the next week is 95. Pure yuck.

Our old chocolate lab has been having a bad couple of days. She is 12 and we were sure the end was very near. We thought she had a stroke. She just sat up, drank a bunch of water and ate 2 eggs and whole wheat toast, chopped and cooled of course. She is doing it her way for sure!

Poor pup. The big guys die too soon.
Hopefully it was just something that passed and you have a few good years left.

I wonder if Rusty can have eggs? He can eat wheat.

Men

Hubby just took Rusty for a walk.
He can't push or pull. So if Rusty sees something and pulls, hubby is in trouble.

We have two different leash systems from when Rusty was young and pulling me onto my butt in the winter.
Gentle leader and gentle harness.
Did hubby try one of those? NO.

Rusty made hubby come back. Twice.
First time they got one block and he put on the brakes.
Came home and drank water.

Tried again. Put on the brakes at the same spot.

Hubby gave up. It is in the 90's again.

Second heat wave and it is only july 1.

As a kid I wasn't even allowed to go into the water until 7/4.
Who knows why. Hell, there were no pools in Queens to go into. Just sprinklers.

Hi everyone. No hotter than usual here - which is, of course, in 90's with about 60% humidity. Sounds worse in other parts of the country than it is here. When I lived up north we had no air conditioning except for a window unit that was hellish to carry from the basement to the bedroom upstairs. I think it is common nowadays to build with central air, even up in NE.

I live in North Dakota, and it is common to find older homes with no AC. Most of the newer homes are built with central air.

My house is and older one and it has no duct work. So we put in "thru" system ACs (blower inside, AC unit outside).

Staying cool.

Never heard of that. A relative has a boiler, thus no duct work. Always thought she couldn't get AC. How's it work?
