Oh, that was a fast reply! I know you have been around for a long time.

Bubba test

No questions need to be answered, but we are nosey

Age (within 10 years)

Sex (not if you have it or not, sex as in male or female...name is John, that sort of answers that)

Location time zone is ok. You are TX or WA, I'm guessing TX

Since I don't work...honestly, I actually said I was a woot mod when I went on jury duty last time...I never asked what anyone's job was. You work for woot.

I guess I should ask, married or in school.
You have been at woot a long time, so that knocks out the school.

Actually, we do know more than I thought we did.
Nevermind.

Well, until my son ruined the day, it was very nice.

Went to brother in law who has a nice house on the water out east. Right before the Hamptons.
House isn't fantastic, but the property is nice with a dock and a lawn and nice view.

He had lobsters and steaks and burgers and hotdogs.
I had no appetite, too bad. Haven't had a lobster yet this year.

Took Rusty. Brother in laws dog and him got along just fine. They played a bit, but it was over 90. Rusty was fine off leash.
The sun wasn't out, which made it ok outside.

No fights. Most of the family was there. Nice time.

Until son and his birdbrain idea.

Hullo.

Made son go see Ted with me. He wasn't that excited but he went. We both loved it. If you like Seth MacFarlane humor (Family Guy), you'll love it. Some juvenile humor, of course. We laughed a ton.

No, you let your son ruin your day. It should have been out of sight, ought of mind. There's no reason for you to be worrying about him. I'm betting he got to where he was going and is going to get home just fine.

Subway at night is not a good place.
If he was just on the two trains that leave from Yankee Stadium, he would be fine.
But going to brooklyn...good luck.

I told him to think about coming home on the lirr. There would be a crowd of people doing that. I would drivethem to brooklyn to get the car tomorrow.

Yep.

They missed the start of the show too.

Even leaving from brooklyn, if they drove to the city and parked where I told them, they would have been on time.
Manhattan is empty on summer weekends.

12 for dinner tomorrow. Been to the store three times. Lately can't seem to get my act together. I have a list of eight things to get at the store tomorrow morning, one of which is a necessity or I wouldn't be going.

Your brother, nieces, nephews?

Edit: My kids - I've been cooking for them since they were born. Daughters-in-law - right now I'm better and as long as they don't have to cook, they don't really care. Grandkids - they wouldn't know the difference.

Used to for Christmas when I first moved back to Texas. It was ok but I still fretted about it. Brother decided it was easier to do restaurants where we can just leave the mess. I was down with that.

Thunder bolts and lighting last night.
Took the electricity with it.

Got it back 10 minutes this morning, then gone again.

Looks like this time it will stick around.

I don't even think it rained.
Just lighting.

"It will stick around"? The electric or without electric?

Peeking my head in. Getting ready for the big drive home. Had enough of this Midwest summer heat stuff. Oh well, I guess it's supposed to be finally getting warm where we normally are too.

well, last week Joey got shaved down and a bath, this week was the Reddogs turn. But of course the Reddog doesn't get shaved down - I put him in a show clip, just take off all the shaggy stuff on his head, neck and back that isn't sposed to be there. He's sooo handsome now And he knows it, too.

He is sleeping on the floor.

Still need to bring him back and find out if it is the heat, or arthritis that is slowing him down.
Brother in laws dog wanted to play much more than Rusty did.

Then again, I find out if I need a knee operation on Wed. No point in having a rambunctious pup if I can't walk him.
Looks like my thing would be a month or two before I would be good to walk him.

If I need it.

Can't have it done until aug anyway.

OK, going out now. Sorry.

Sill here, leaving soon.

Lynnie, are ice cubes a problem for dogs?
A sister in law said yes.
We gave them a bunch yesterday.
I always give Rusty and the other dogs the ice left over from my ice coffee when we go to the dog park. They are small and I make sure there is no coffee on them.

We are back in the mountains. Cookie the big lab died peacefully in the car. She is already buried in the yard. It looked like she had a stroke. She did not seem to be in pain. Hobby dreamed about her running last night. This was our jetski riding dog.
