I think the only real reality show that ever did any good was "The Gong Show". I bought all the episodes on DVD and am quite pleased. Everything else is just a copy cat.

Who Wants to be a Super Hero? Hosted by Stan Lee. 'nuff said.

Last One Standing (six athletes competing in indigenous sports around the world). Mostly because they seemed sincere, had camaraderie, and there was no backstabbing and forced theatrics -which explains why it's no longer on.

And of the current crop, Impractical Jokers (funny stupid, stupid funny. Hope it doesn't get old too soon.)

Honorable mention: American Pickers, Pawn Stars, Auction Kings - mostly because a lot of the "antiques" are things I owned at one time or another and once again, little or no scripted "drama" between the people on the show.

The results of this poll speak volumes for the majority of the W00t community's taste and intelligence.

I do not aim to specifically put down anyone who watches reality TV shows. I'll stay on one of the cooking ones every now and then, but I do think that overall "reality TV" is trash. It's mind-rotting, sensory-numbing, intellect-devouring garbage.
