I was sold until I saw the picture of the packaging. I can never get those kinds of packages open without a battle ensuing.

It says SDXC not (micro)SDHC. It's not a scam, it just means you need new bifocals.

Terrible deal. You can get a SanDisk Ultra 64gb Class 10 for $39.99 quite often now. Much better reliability and quality.

I predict the answer is no.

No, the device has to support the SDXC format for them to work.

Most newer cameras are compliant, but a LOT of readers aren't.

Buy 3 at least 1 of them should work.

I had one of these that would randomly decide whether it wanted to let me at my files or not. Sometimes it would work, others it would say the device is not formatted. Centon sent a replacement which did the EXACT same thing. I wouldn't put anything important on these that isn't backed up elsewhere.

your prediction is correct. The device needs to support SDXC because the medium is formatted with exFAT. If you reformat the card with FAT32, but now you have to make sure that your host device can support that amount of memory- which in most cases it can't since it was originally designed for SDHC that max out at 32gb

Compatibility with SDHC
SDXC host devices accept all previous families of SD memory cards.[26] Conversely, SDHC host devices will accept SDXC cards that follow Version 3.0, since the interface is identical,[3] but the following issues may affect usability:
SDXC cards are pre-formatted with Microsoft's proprietary and patented exFAT file system, which the host device might not support. Since Microsoft does not publish the specifications of exFAT and its use requires a non-free license, many alternative or older operating systems do not support exFAT for technical or legal reasons. The use of exFAT on some SDXC cards may render SDXC unsuitable as a universal exchange medium, as an SDXC card that uses exFAT would not be usable in all host devices. Since the FAT32 file system supports volumes up to the SDXC's maximum theoretical capacity of 2 TB as well, a user could reformat an SDXC card to use FAT32 for greater portability between computers (see below). FAT32-formatted SDXC cards can be used in a host device built for SDHC if the host device can handle 64GB and larger volumes.
SDHC host devices will not test the new capability bits defined for SDXC 4.0 cards. It will therefore not be able to use the new features of SDXC, such as transfer speeds above UHS104 (104MB/s).

This item brings up a thought that I have had for a while now. When Woot lists a product and everybody comments on how it is terrible, who buys it?

I have always assumed that when this happens on Amazon, Newegg, etc. the product just doesn't sell anymore but on Woot-offs they have the status bar. Are people still buying these and ignoring the comments, not reading them or just think they are wrong?

Most of the bad claims here are unfounded. The only reviews I could find online (that were relevant) were good reviews. The product also has a 5 year warranty.

But to answer your question, some probably had this stance, while others don't even read the forums.

Sorry! It's a woot-off! And like a regular woot, once the product is gone, it's gone.

But stick around, you may find something you like better, or may see this product again sometime.

(No promises.)
