I'm sorry, but did that say 65W power supply? Good luck trying to upgrade anything with that!

I almost vomited when I read that also.

As with all refurb WOOT HP's, always upgrade the power suppy ASAP.

HP just laid off 27,000 employees today. Hmmm...wonder why when they're producing such great products like this.

This is the one that caught some flack a few weeks back, for basically being a glorified netbook inside a large PC case. That being said, it's still a good value for a "budget" machine -- something to give to your parents or grandparents for web-surfing and very casual use. Obviously not going to play top-of-the-line games on this.

I think a gerbil on a wheel would produce more power.

I game, and I absolutely refuse to use a laptop for that.

There is no upgrading this computer except maybe another drive. There are NO expansion slots. Look at the photos.

I had to buy my parents a new desktop PC last Christmas, because my dad is basically scared of the concept of a laptop. So, there is still a niche market, yes.

Yep either way to get my desktop setting for a laptop would probably be thousands of dollars extra and would run so hot that it would engulf my desk in flames.

This is what you get when you take a netbook motherboard and put it in a desktop case and pass it off as a real computer =\

Just curious - you don't use a gaming console? I don't know much about gaming, but when I visited the local game store looking for Golf for grandpa's computer, the pimply-faced teenager (or 20-something) guy that worked there told me I couldn't find it because "gaming is dead on computers". He told me my best bet was to buy grandpa a game console.

No offense intended to the first sucker, but I thought the last person to buy this computer would have a username tech stuff.

Even IF you wanted a Netbook inside a mid-tower case, why would you ever pick the P2-1033W over the P2-1013W?

Nope not a typo. External power supply, like a laptop. Its a mini itx board which really belongs in a mini pc that can be used as a home theater pc. not sure whey they put it in such a huge case.

I am gaming ambedextrious. I have an Xbox 360 and my PC. Gaming on the PC isnt dead. The kid was just stupid.

Granted sometimes PC games dont get the care they deserve (anything Rockstar has ever touched that made its way to PC) but most FPS games are always better on the PC. You get more control over controls and graphics, server side mods to keep gameplay fresh, and depending on the game you play, it is ALWAYS free.

I prefer a new games on the consoles (Anything involving Origin, Sports games, used games) for games that are easier on the console. Some games I cant remap all the controls cause I honestly play around the arrow keys (yes you may all laugh.) so sometimes I cant fit all the important controls around the numpad.

It depends on the type of game, who made it, and personal preference, but if these next generation consoles come out to the rumors I have heard (Always online DRM for the console, no optical drives, etc.) then I will move soely to the PC.

OK, explain this to me. 5 PC's were sold. On the 'Woots by State' map, there are 5 states in various shades. Since it looks like there was one PC sold per State, shouldn't each state have the same shading? Or is there some other significance to the shading of the States that I am missing?

Good Luck! The power supply is out of case. The system has a micro board in it that is supposed to be in a MUCH smaller case.
