Not good. You might be able to play newer games on fairly low settings, but overall unless you are really strapped for cash I wouldn't recommend getting this. Dual core processors and integrated graphics are bad for gaming.

This is all a bizarre social experiment. Woot! first tested us to see if we would put up with the Amazon takeover and keep coming back and now they introduce the new crappier site with a crappy deal on a crappy product.

Next, Woot! will add mild electric shocks sent to your mouse when you click the Big Yellow Button.

Using Chrome Add Block to get rid of the 'Woot Extras' (or whatever those 2 huge ads were) make things MUCH more readable.

I don't think I have ever posted in a discussion thread, but I will join the rest in saying I definitely do NOT like the new woot web page. The colors are too bright and the layout is WAY TOO cluttered!

LONG TIME WOOTER is not happy.

It _may_ run D3 at the very lowest settings. The graphics chip on this laptop is equivalent to Intel Integrated graphics. It has no discrete memory, it is shared with the main system RAM. My laptop running a 2.4GHz dual-core Intel and HD4300 series (the mobile graphics chipset referenced in that article, equivalent to the HD6310 in the sale laptop but with a gig or two of discrete memory) is able to struggle along playing D3 on the lowest settings at a somewhat acceptable framerate. I predict this laptop could only do worse framerate wise and look worse doing it, since it would be driving low resolution across a much larger display than my 13").

I truly don't understand what this laptop is trying to be. It's got the hardware of a netbook in a 17" package. It's woefully underpowered to be a desktop replacement but also way too big to tote around.

The new setup looks cluttered, maybe give woot+ it's own page. I like the $5 all you can ship discount. If the discount is still around during the woot off, it will be easier to talk myself into buying stuff.

WOW, way too busy of a page now. Looks like someone threw out their garbage and it all landed right there on the home page. Also, did someone forget, (on purpose)to include a logout button or is it just me that doesn't see it because all this other crap is going on???

with 2.4 gig on up these days will 1.3 do the job

I don't mind change, but this is kinda drastic. I've been on Woot for a long long time. Not sure why they thought it was necessary other than bored programmers on staff who wanted to strut their stuff.

help please wooters! I am thinking about buying this for my dad, he needs an inexpensive replacement for his old laptop. He is a dj and mostly needs it for downloading and playing music, surfing the net, and maybe watching youtube once in a while. would this be okay or would I be better off spending more for something with a better processor?

The new look? Too soon to tell. I don't like to condemn a change immediately without giving it an honest test drive first.

My initial impression was to dislike the changes, but that's natural. It felt like I woke up in a foreign country and didn't know where I was...so I looked around, and began new discoveries. I'm not sure I like it yet...but I'll give it the chance to grow on me before I pass much judgement.

I can't imagine the good folks at Woot! would jump in with helter-skelter changes without good reason. But then again, maybe they did. Let's give it time...

Muuuuch better. I can now see the soothing scroll of wooters complaining about the days' deal. In a world of change, you have given me something to hold on to.

I have not used the device in question, but it seems to list "Touchpad with Multi-Touch Control" as the pointing device in specs. I am confident that this device does not have a touchscreen, but instead allows for multi-touch gestures on the trackpad.

<3~ No matter what, w00t remains the same in its core. But I would like to see a little more interaction on the commentary threads in the community. Specifically on the button that is outlined in black in IE. It flashes white for about a second, and then gradients back down, which creates a really epileptic feeling for me.

I've worked on Toshiba laptops before, I wonder if I could crack this baby open and upgrade to a faster CPU?
