Oh, man. I really don't handle change very well.

About the product:
I love my Toshiba. It's a core i3, but in the same family as this one and it works great. With one flaw, the touchpad is heat sensitive and if you rest your hands near it to type or while navigating with the other hand, it can affect the direction of your cursor.

About the new site:
I like a lot of the new functionality, but having to click through to go to the full write up is irritating. Once you jump to the ???.woot.com page you're looking for, you shouldn't have to click again to get the spec's of the product on that page.

The top nav bar is perfect. With the new pic thumbnails, I probably won't even use a wootalyzer anymore, for the most part.

The "stuff you bought" page is awesome as an aggregate, but I wonder if there should still be an option to break it down by site? (I haven't seen one)

With the top bar there, do you really need the block of thumbnails on the right?

So... woot+ is woot, plus a bunch of what would/should be moofi/sponsored deals? I like that they're available. Just not sure about the "busy" of the page now.

Wow.... Really?

The new look and feel seems cluttered and lacks a consistant flow. The product text is off the page and there's multiple products on the display.

There are lots of sites (like Amazon) that pimp all kind of products with nothing special to set them apart. The simplicity of the old Woot, selling one product with a bunch of hyperbole is/was unique.

The new Woot could be any product site and if I sent someone here for the first time, I doubt they would feel anything more than 'meh, whatever.'

Why not? I already had trouble explaining to people what woot is...watching their interest in a one-product-a-day concept dwindle as I explain that it's actually eleven deals per day plus the community posts...now it's more like:

"You've never heard of it? Oh, it's different because it's just one product per day and when it sells out it's sold out until the next day and $5 flat shipping for up to three items...except it's 20-some-odd deals that are up and good for varying lengths of time and shipping varies. Well, it used to be different anyway."

It'll definitely take some getting used to, but I think a lot of care and thought went into the new layout design and the changes will all be better in the long run.

is ugly. have to click on thing to see specs. and linking to moofi out in the open like that? i used to be cool with my auto-moofi link. but mostly, ugly and i have to click on something to see details.

Also i dont know if i like the idea of seeying all of my totals of what i spent... That $ is adding up very quick on the first page alone and i have 17 to go .... Seriously is freaking me out that i wasted , i mean spent so much $ , lol...

Okay, first...today's woot. Good, bad, indifferent? I have had a Toshiba before but the power cord was crap and after replacing it a BAZILLION times, I chucked it.

Second, the redesign...too much white, too much crap on the front page, I don't WANT to click to read more. Tone down the white, remove the extraneous crap that seems to not serve a purpose...and put the whole damned write-up on the page w/o clicking for more. Kthx.

(PS, I'm not leaving because of this...the people who do make me LOL TO DEATH because it is obviously a PERSONAL thing that you RUINED their LIFE by redesigning. I'm just offering suggestions to make it less...AOL-ey.)

I like the big bold look of the text; however, do I just have a crappy small laptop and have to scroll left to right to see everything? Or is this a problem for others? I hate scrolling.

I think I like this new format, but Woot I am just curious... are you still going to be selling stuff for only 24 hours (except for the Woot offs) at a savings (for the most part-still doesn't happen all the time.)

I am not liking the fact I have to page through all my past items in the Stuff You Bought link to count my Bouts of Consternation history. I know where I sit, but when I go one 1 year droughts, I tend to forget.

On the new layout: Like: The bar ontop and the new product page. Not Like: All the clutter of the main page.

On the woot itself: Any idea what the weight of this thing is? Didn't see it in the description.

I really don't like how you have to click read more to find out if the item is new or a refurb. Thats my first impression of the redesign, other thoughts after I get some sleep.

How are wooters able to buy? every page I hit the "Buy it" button on sends me to the maintenance page we've seen all day.

Summary of what I posted... Not a big fan of the redesign I agree with some of the comments that it seems like AOL. Just a mess of products. If I wanted to be shotgunned with random products I would go to amazon... I miss my old woot

Tried to submit a query under the "beta feedback" button.

The question was...

"Where is the "sign out" or "log off" button?"

It kicked me to the error page. When I left the above as a comment on that page, it kicked me right back to the error page. Infinite error loop...

Also, tried to change my avatar to my twitter linked account pic and it didn't work. And I still can't figure out how to sign out other than using the "(not you?)" button.

Woot, lose the list price! You say yourself "it's mostly worthless." That should be your clue to leave it off the page!

I do most of my woot browsing from my netbook...

I like some of the layout, but the width being too wide for a 1024px display is disappointing.


Few things are more frustrating than horizontal scroll bars when screen real estate is already at a premium.
