I, like everyone else, seems to want to discuss the new site. Sorry, Toshiba laptop. My intial reaction was "Oh ... Amazon junior". My second was questioning the monochromatic community displays (ugh). Then I found ALL of my Woots on ONE list and then I had something to amile about. Now - through reading other comments (not the big announcemnet in the upper right corner), I see $5 shipping for all orders. I'm warming up ... (PLEASE don't go all Amazon on us where "Prime" shipping is useless because almost all of my orders get shipped from 3 different sources and the S&H fees usually cause me to cancel my orders. Truly!

Is this still the place for product comments/questions? All I see are website reviews. I need a new computer and feedback on the one offered today.

Oh well, thanks to the foolish fools at facebook, the whole net has become "change just to change", and the old adage of "if it works, don't fix it" falls on deaf ears.

I suppose like the rest of us, if I want to woot, I'll have to get used to this poor design, but it doesn't mean it's better, or that I'll like it.

I dont like it at all. That being said I will still be the same devoted wooter that I have always been...Putting tha savings and % you save on the page is not good at all. Makes it look like you are getting a "really great deal!" instead of just getting a really good deal. Kind of like those going out of business furnature stores where you can save 137.43% of the suggested retail price. I say let the woots stand on their own like they always did.

I won't say I'm never going to check out Woot again, but the site is too busy, too much clicking. The redesign will probably save me some money, since I'll visit less often.

I'm in the market for a laptop, and this fits every requirement! Except for the craptacular processor. Wow, what a buzz kill. This processor can't do much more than get on facebook and type a Word document.

Maybe a decent laptop (for lefties).

I hardly consider a site so popular that it crashes from so many people trying to order certain products... at risk of "fading in to the background."

If anything, this change has only assured that they will. Woot was unique before, now it's just a copy/paste of every other deal a day website, complete with the absolutely bogus "List Price" with the "percent savings" that make you think you are getting a good deal, when in reality this is the normal price the item sells for.

Where have I seen that before? Oh right, every other deal a day website trying to bilk every penny they can from you. It's been a long time Woot, but I think I am done here.

The HP in the description stands for Home premium, it is the windows version.

If I were new to Woot, I would be put off by the all the shouting, and all the exclamation marks. Yes, I know, it is your 'thing', but toning it down would be beneficial, IMHO.

The E-300 will be underpowered for most things, but it should be able to handle accelerated decoding of h264 and VC-1 content. Don't expect netflix to work, since it doesn't use hardware acceleration, even though they could. To put it into perspective, The Binding of Isaac (which is just a executable Flash game) stutters when being played, but XBMC playing 1080p videos encoded with h264 from my file server is smooth as glass.

I have an E-350 in my HTPC (1.6 vs 1.3), which handles 1080p no problem.

Not being a newcomer to Woot, I was immediately put off by the tranlucent overlay asking for my log in info. My first thought? Phishing. Must be infected by a virus wanting my Woot login.

Then once in (without logging in) I was smacked in the eyes by all the exclamation marks, and other shouting.

I come to Woot, daily, to check for bargains, not to smacked across the face and yelled at.
