yeah, the layout sucks. the other one didnt need any changes. and now, to be able to answer the polls and post in this forum i have to enable yet another script.

The new layout looks crisp and cleaner than the old one, but the site seems to have lost some personality. Probably because of the switch to an all white background.

Woot has tramp stamped it self with a crap load of advertisements. Way to keep it "real" and easy to navigate woot....

It looks pretty nice, but it's too busy. You went all Yahoo! when you should have been going more Google.

Also, where is the funny product description? Am I missing something?
edit: Found it. Having to click a link to read the product description? For shame. That's the main selling point of the product, Woot!

Agreed, but it's so busy you have to struggle to find what you are looking for.

Today's product descriptions seem a bit uninspired. You have to click the "read more" under the blurb on the right to read the whole thing.

Yeah, I'm having a hard time with it. My little netbook can't handle half the site, and it winds up defaulting to text and images like a mobile site. It's about two or three animated Gifs from being a 1995 site.

Also, it's too wide for my puny monitor, and since the frame on the top won't scroll left/right...

I understand expansion and change is necessary but this seems like A LOT all at once.

ummmm, yeah. I don't mind the new style too much, I know you've got to mix it up every once in a while, however, it seems like the focus is less, one deal, one day (per *.woot, natch) and more woot plus focus.

I liked seeing the deal of the day and having the woot story/pitch/blog/whatever you call it, right there below the product picture. I don't want to click to "read more". I want it right there, on the main page. If I want to look at other crap, I go to deals.woot.

So combine the woot+ crap, and the social media buttons and it's a little too web 3.0 for my tastes. I know, I'm getting old, get off my lawn.

It looks nice and all, but I don't know if I'll keep checking woot and shirt.woot before bed to see the deal and get a little chuckle from the write up if I have to "read more". Bring that back to the main page and I might be willing to scroll past a half browser window of woot+.

This used to be a lovely little geek site. Now it is looking like just another site with crap for sale with ads littering up the page. Much like I told Costco when they went from a wholesale outlet to a store I could get better prices for stuff at Sears I'm fearing my woot days are over. So sad to see you go to the dark side Woot. The "Stuff You Bought" page is, well, simply amazing. While looking at the pictures of my previous buys, emotions were evoked. There they were (in glorious color no less): all my favorite shirt.woot tees which I wear with delight everywhere, my beloved vornado zippi fan...the list goes on. Okay, it's now officially love for the new site. It made me feel warm, cozy, valued, and part of a greater glory. Thank you kindly (and most sincerely) dear Woot Gods.

It wasn't broken. Why did you fix it? The page doesn't even fit on my monitor anymore -- and it's a 15" screen. It's too busy. THIS is why I couldn't access my account to print off an invoice for my expense report earlier today?!?!? And now I can't figure out how to make a nice neat printable invoice show up.

Zero left margin makes it hard to read.

Not friendly to 800x600 resolution (i.e. what people with poor eyesight might have to use - like me )

I like having all the woots available at the top, but do NOT like the sticky bar that scrolls with me.

Looks nice, neat, well planned, BUT... the old woot had the full funny article about the product, new woot has a piece of it and if you dont want to read it you dont, old woot had it all in there, there was no decition to be made about reading it, you just read it, new woot have just made a lot of ppl pass on the full story about the product.

What the heck? Where's Woot? This looks like .. well, crap. Now it's just another website, one I don't have any interest in visiting. It should have all the product info on the front page... why should I have to jump around now? I'm tired of all the jumping that every dmnd site wants you to do. Woot, I thought you were better than that, but every time you make a change you foist more and more adverts and unnecessarys in our face. I guess I'll be seeing less of you -- not ready to cut you out altogether like I did nomorerack, but real close.

just let me see how the next wootoff goes then MAYBE i can render an opinion.

The top with all the other links is probably the best thing that happened, all the other "crap" is horrible... And its not the good "crap'' like a Bunch of Change, its the terrible crap like a huge bear crapped all over the sites...... It's hard to navigate and check around... This has ruined my night that you did this to the site please go back and keep the tabs at the top!!!!

When I hit the front page, I thought I was on Amazon or Ebay. I'm through with woot forever. Couldn't even figure out how to vote on the poll in this thread. I'm sure some sheeple won't ever know the difference, but the real woot gave it's final death spasm over the weekend.

I think you put the picture and product title on the wrong sides. The buy button always goes on the right.

I like all the pretty colors but I hate things that move without my input. Like that slide by discussion thing. Drives me crazy. Can't focus on the woot - which I believe is why there is this site. To sell stuff, not to dazzle us with moving bells & whistles.

But the colors are pretty.

I thinks that woot is wanting to be the next ipo-with all this advertising; for shame woot

The good:

• I do like having all the links to the different woot sites up top. That's actually an improvement.
  
• I also like the comparison of the current deal price to its list price. Very nice.
  

• It's too cluttered. The home page tries to be everything at once, and ends up with almost nothing of use on it. The emphasis should be on the current deal, and then the other stuff can be off to the side somewhere out of the way.
  
• I have to click links to find out anything about the current deal beyond the price and general category of product. If something is a refurb, I want to know that right away. If a laptop's processor is clocked at 1.3 GHz, I'd like to know that right away too.

I, on the other hand, only get a "server error" from the "Stuff You Bought" page.

Love the "stuff you bought" page and having all the pages in tabs up at the top makes it really easy to move for one to another.

I like the Woot Plus info on each page and I can't wait till you sell some more of the Hexbug nanos in that area on Kids! so I can see what else is available.

Having to click to see more of the quality posts and the description is a bit of a pain but it's something I'll get use to pretty quickly.

Over all, I like it so far. Once I've seen how well it works for a WootOff, I'll be sure of it.

Looks good, but I am kinda tethered to my work computer (I work overseas), and on that thing no pictures or the new format comes up at all. I think we're running IE7 and about a million firewalls.

Perhaps an option to use the old skin? Or something? Otherwise my wooting will drop.

I'm actually still trying to figure out how to log out now...
