I think the old one was better and probably could've just gotten away with adding the bar to the top of the existing woot. I don't like that the product description is mostly hidden nor do I like that most of the left side is taken up by a bunch of useless space and social media junk. If I want to share something, don't worry, I will. I don't need 6 buttons that more-or-less replaced the space of our beloved item descriptions.

I never like having to click a link to read more of the article or write-up.

ThePict wrote:This used to be a lovely little geek site. Now it is looking like just another site with crap for sale with ads littering up the page. Much like I told Costco when they went from a wholesale outlet to a store I could get better prices for stuff at Sears I'm fearing my woot days are over. So sad to see you go to the dark side Woot. It has been a great run, and I'll miss you,

Ditto. The uniqueness is gone.

Really...horizontal scrolling needed for a 15" screen? This just makes the website unpleasant to visit. I would also like to see the entire woot description/sale points without having to click "read more".

Too tedious for users checking from multiple shared locations. Everything requires clicks. I have to click an X to get to see anything, then I have to click the full description, and if I just want to see the quality posts I have to wait for them to scroll. Time wasting and requires too much effort.

I'm going to sound like I'm echoing others, but yes: its too busy, the ads are going to be a real problem (the WORST problems with many sites are when ad servers are slow or flakey), and not having the item description on the front page is a bad decision.

Being able to hover over the tabs to see a preview of the other site's products is excellent as long as it doesn't impact the page load time (for Woot-offs)

Also: stuff you bought - I know I'd never have the longest list, but now nobody does. Paged? Really? Like some silly forum doing pages of topics? I _do_ like the fact that the cancel option is available right there (like I'd ever cancel a Woot!)

Too much front page real estate is being used for ads and stuff unrelated to the item up for sale. Woot+ presences, polls, etc are fine but that's NOT why I'm visiting the page. And ads are absolutely not why I'm visiting the page! There presence borders on offensive.

Look upon my Avatar, ye whiny, and despair!

Woot, did you need more time?? Because I would have given you more time, a few more days... a week or two...

All of my dislikes have already been mentioned a hundred times, so I'll offer a small suggestion... with the hover menus at the top of the page, can you at least add a link to go directly to the product description and write-up?

We're already blasted by the incessant ads and nonsense, we don't need it six times over.

I'm afraid the shark has been jumped. Woot! managed to stay true to it's roots for quite a while after being gobbled up by the big fish, but as always the case it eventually gets mangled and ultimately fades away (anybody remember LaLa ?).

That said, it could have been worse. It might have just finally become roboticvacuum!.com

What's happening, Peter? Yeah, I'm gonna need you to go ahead and come in tomorrow, we lost some people and we're sorta playing catch-up... Ok? Great, Thanks.

P.S. The new format sucks, more than a case of the Mondays. I hope you got the memo.

I'm not opposed to change, but OMGOSH this is so freaking BUSY BUSY BUSY!

Woot has definitely lost its charm and I have no idea where to look, on just about every page. I have no sense of where I am in the site anymore - the navigation is now all over the place.

Also, move the writeups up and push the comment/discussion animated slide thing down. It's distracting.

I don't like having to hover over something to see its description text (home/kids/shirt/wine).

Having to click to see the whole writeup is another down side.

I liked the old UI, but I don't like change much either.

The new site design is the BIGGEST Bunch of Change of all time. It is TOO cluttered, to bust, and has way too much crappy outside advertisement. I can't find anything. Woot has turned into a $2 advertising whore site. It is no longer an enjoyable site to visit. Put it back the way it was. You should have spent all that redesign money on upgrading your servers so they don't freeze every time you have a Bunch of Change during a WOOT-OFF.

If I weren't a long time Woot Fan, and I was a first time buyer, I wouldn't be confident in the website nor would I purchase. The Woot Plus is very distracting. I thought they were ads at first (so my first reaction was to glaze over the photos). You have lots of great additions; the new product detail page (after clicking "read more" below the product blog) is beautiful and very descriptive. The additional photos are great! Love that we can now checkout by Amazon and the new log-in/log-out system is much more user friendly. The addition of a cleaner and more navigable "Your Account" page makes it easier to review my purchases without having to go through a million links. It is sad that the main product pages are so disjointed and really nothing special. Woot is one of (if not THE BEST) the top deal sites, but the homepages are nothing inspired. It is sad that all of the good changes aren't noticed because the main pages don't seem as well thought out.

Wish this post box were in the middle instead of falling off the left side of the screen. I do think that when trying to read a lot (as through these posts) the white is too bright after awhile.
I have been able to get everywhere I want to go, so it s workable for me, but I do miss the old layout - and yes, way too many ads. Overall, I liked it the way it was, and I like the addition of the items for site navigation at the top of the page. Could have stopped there as far as I am concerned. Not a make or break deal for me, though.

I like it, wouldn't say I am loving it but it's nice and I like change so it's all good to me. Also I am really liking having all my orders on one page from the different Woot sites.

I miss having the product details on the main Woot page. It was nice to see them there without having to load another page, especially if using a less-than-speedy Internet connection.

I also miss the sliding window showing the various offers from deals.woot.

Finally, and this applies to both the new and old versions, I would love to eliminate kids.woot, as I have NEVER seen anything of interest there. (I guess not having kids has something to do with that . . .)

You need to put new or refurbished back on the Perfect!. I don't buy refurbished products so it's nice to know right up front.

Layout is OK but where is the pricing in Woot Community? Now you have to open the item to see the pricing, too many clicks and too much time to bother.

Clearly it is designed to Sell Us More Crap (tm) by shoving so much up front. I dunno, it's too noisy to me, and not having the full copy of the item on sale makes me decidedly less interested in reading through it all...which is a shame, because it's usually good.

Yes, I'm that lazy that I can't click on "Read more." I ain't got time to be clickin' extraneous links just for the heck of it! If the read more page were the main one, that'd be peachy. Otherwise, it looks just like too much was crammed on the first page.

Of course, that doesn't mean I won't be back.

Great job on the 'New Look'. It's awesome!! Some Wooters just can't accept change in their lives. They'd rather keep things the same forever. "GET OVER IT!" Now this site really rocks!!!

Too much white. All 'concrete', where did the 'forest' go? Layout is ok (tabs work for me) but lots more crappy advertising. What, we don't pay enough for our Bags 'O Crap? My Android struggles with it, unlike the real (read 'original') site.

I like the top bar besides the part of it that I can't see because I'm working on a netbook. After that it looks very cluttered, I believe the real issue is that my resolution is so low on the net book that all the buttons and in fact this box I am typing is is pushed right to the edge of my screen. Think you need to step back and rethink some of the changes. Of course all that being said... I will deal with the site for some good woot deals.

I like the all day $5 shipping, woot plus, stuff you bought. I'd prefer the write up all on one page. The write up is the most original thing that sets woot apart and got me to check back, even when I wasn't interested in the deal of the day. I'd put woot plus on a tab of it's own, like home, kids, shirt, and wine. I think the layout is way too busy; there is too much to look at and it takes the focus away from the woot of the day. Just too much. If we weren't already in an established relationship, I'd just walk away. But I love you and I know we can work this out. xoxo

Far too busy... pictures and colors have been replaced with words and advertisements. The focus no longer seems to be "we are selling this one item today!". Even the white background for the entire site now seems like a loss, before the blue or green background gave a clear separation between what was important (the one item) and what was secondary (everything else).

Hi there! If you click on the main picture, that will take you to the DETAILS page. Here you'll find:

The condition right under the price.

More photos to look at.

The write-up on the left.

The features, specs, and other stuff on the right just under the pictures.
