Agreed. Now it's all about Amazon owning them and "HOW MUCH YOU CAN SAVE" when Im pretty sure most of us can go figure out, and that is half the fun. Also if you wait long enough, someone else will come up with it.

Woot used to feel warm and cozy, now they feel like some big box brand you don't want to get to know.

I also hate having to click a link to read the funny stuff.

Well I found a way to sign out. I left my computer for a few hours since there was nothing to see here folks. When I came back, I was logged out, a big no-no for me. Precious few websites get my log in info from other sites, and fewer get to hold it and keep it safe. I don't want to say it's not me, that's stupid... it is lizzitish, I also don't want to have to log in ever single time I want to look at an item or even stop in to see what the forums are saying, or if the train wreck looks more interesting from the other side of the tracks (other woots.... checking in on the original in a bid to like it even if it will never be true love). Like any addiction, I won't say I'll leave completely but since that mess with april 1, I have already cut back on my wooting and this will in fact make me cut down less. I stayed because I wanted to believe and checking in once every few days I've even bought something! I believe though that my attention will wane worse and will never be the same. I'll check back, like most everyone will and hope for the best... sigh

WOW.

Or rather... OW, W00t, my Eyes!!!

The flashing image was apparently blown up prior to being posted for the sake of being larger since the outline is as jagged as a car wreck. Is it supposed to flash as black? In IE8 it feels comparable to being hit in the head with a frying pan.

Now I join in with the Chorus...

Woot, Woot, Quit Yelling at me.
Woot, Woot, Obtrusive ye be!
Woot, Woot, Like a dog all a'Howl,
Woot, Woot, Didja throw in the towel...

WAY too much going on here! Keep it simple Woot. That's why we love(d) you. :-(

Too cluttered! Too much!! Overload! Help I'm drowning!

I miss the old Woot with the pretty green background and the easy to read and get info on the product quickly. I think this was too much change at once. I do like the links at the top to the other sites. However, I miss seeing the pictures of the stuff for sale on the other sites. I dunno Woot. It's all just a bit too overwhelming right now and I'm worried how its going to effect the next Woot Off. :-\

I hate the new layout. It is too busy, and takes me more than the 5 seconds of my time to even identify what is being sold. This is a horrible change.

Also, due to the new layout, my primary mode of checking woot, the WootWatch app on my iphone, is no longer working.

I feel that the leadership of Woot was talked in to something by a fast talking salesman with charts and graphs that is so counter to the core concept of "one day, one deal" that it has done irreparable damage to the loyal user-base of woot.

I know I will no longer be checking the site with regularity, as it will just take to much time to puzzle things out and that means fewer sales, because I know I am not alone.

Additionally, if I don't get my somewhat silly review that makes me laugh, I don't buy it.

I don't want to click a link to get what made woot stand out. Hiding that portion of woot is the dumbest idea the leadership of woot has ever had since the site started.

I REALLY want to like this new set up. I enjoy Woot; as much for the conversation & community, as for the products. I am hoping it is easy to use as I am not very tech savy. I think my experience with Facebook has frieghtened me away from any format changes on websites. Here's hoping Woot did it right/!

Love Woot!

Ever since Woot was bought out I feared too much change would happen. The site was good...the original people who ran it did just fine...now we have bloat.

This site has lost its focus. I dont need another portal site. At least the write ups about the products are still witty.

I suppose it's alright, I personally preferred the old 'single woot' focus format, this feels somewhat generic.

It's not too bad, but I don't like that I have to click on the item or the initial description to find out if it's refurbished or new. I think it's a good start, but doesn't have as much information right out of the gate.

What was wrong with the old site? All it really needed was a consolidated order history page and an easier way to get to all the Woot sites... This is just excessive.

I am confused if the product is new or refurbished. I may have missed it but if I did...It wasn't very clear. I like the old format much better. It was a lot clearer and simpler. Don't have time to hunt around.

Meh. The new page is awfully crowded, and needing to follow a link to see the funny is shocking, unbelivable... different even. It's not horrible or anything, but it doesn't strike me as an improvement.

Much too cluttered. Looks like you have a rusty car on blocks in the front yard.

I have to hit a link to read the main product description?! You must be joking!

Get rid of that Woot! Plus stuff, or put it on another site like Deals.

If it ain't broke, why the F*** FIX it! Way too busy! Adds that clutter things up,adds I don't want to see, and are intrusive. Looks just like any other crap web site that wants to sell me something. WOOT made it on ONE deal ONE day, no bells, no whistles. Why not be happy with the results of that business approach. I will NOT be checking WOOT any longer every morning like I have for the last four years.
Signed,
A valued customer.

I mentioned earlier that I feel the new design is too busy. But, the bigger issue is the feeling conveyed by the new site. In the past, Woot seemed to be fun and helpful--giving us one great deal a day and some hilarious write-ups. While I know Woot is a business, it never felt like that.

The new design gives a very different feeling. It now feels like Woot is turning into an online store with a greater emphasis on pushing products. Don't get me wrong--I know Woot always sold things--but they had mastered the art of selling without feeling like selling.

I feel like Woot is getting away from what made them special...and that's a bad thing.

Definitely a step backwards. Woot has suddenly become more like everyone else and less like Woot. That's a mistake in my opinion. What made Woot Woot was the old, not the new.

Which makes sense, considering IE7 is 6 years old and doesn't support modern web standards. Facebook, Google and Amazon all stopped supporting IE7 a year ago.

waaaaaay, way too busy.

suggestions:

clean it back up.
make it so we don't have to click a link to read the writeup.
make the woot plus crap smaller and/or put it lower on the page. it really detracts from the deal of the day.

Why do you want to piss everyone off by starting with a "POP UP" asking us to sign on?

I think you are straying a little too far from your Woot's Roots.

I do like the new layout, or at least nothing that a little time to get used to won't fix, but I've been looking through the community woots and I've found that the product prices don't appear in the item description.

I then proceed to click on different items which sends me to a page full of random statistics, but still the price, which is the most important piece of information, is missing.

Having to click two different links to even find as basic a piece of information as the price makes browsing more difficult and time consuming.
