Our living room is not a cave, we have a lot of light and other cameras and video devices did not have this issue.

You need to tell us what the maximum aperture is when fully zoomed out on each camera.Some may be f/4 and others f/8. Not fair comparing the two and calling it an "issue" unless the lenses are the same aperture and the ISOs are matched. If it happens then, it really IS an issue.

Just asked if they would price match, but when they went to ring it up at the 139.99 I asked for, it automatically popped up in their system at $125.00 so I didn't even have to ask for a price match. That's their price.

I'd go with the 990, if you can get it for $6 more! It's Kodak's top-of-the line, and sold for $50 more, originally. It has a better sensor, better lense and rechargeable batteries and charger! Plus, 1080p video...this one has 720p.

Awesome camera picked one up a few weeks back. Very happy with the quality. The only down fall in my opion is battery life have already had to change twine on about 500 photos.

the 129 price for office depot is in store only its on clearance in the store, problem is finding stores that actually have them. not one office depot in my district has any and the ones i got from staples a few weeks back were that last of them from staples in the district.. they are getting REALLY hard to find in stores

It was 125. I walked in to the Sand City, CA (next door to Monterey) store and that was exactly how it went. They had some paper tags in a holder in front of the camera, I took one to the counter and asked them to price match the Ben's Outlet price (which I showed them on my iPad) and the rest happened just as I described earlier.

they were 129 in our office depots in fl. staples went down to 159. and i used 30$ coupons bringing them down to 129 at staples they had three so i bought them. i figured heck even for a gift its a heck of a deal. im keeping one gave one to the wife and the third will go to my mom for her birthday.

One thing I wondered about: the Woot model can do macro shots. I haven't had time to check into the Z990's abilities yet. Anybody know if it can do macros easily and well?

yes it does and can do as well as almost any superzoom ive used. i own many from various brands and the z990 actually does very well.

you can call staples and have them price match and use (buy) a 30$ off coupon around the net which will make it 149.99 yes its a online only deal but they will ship to your home for free also. and good luck if you want to find either of these in any major stores

This is my second Easy Share and this one is great. I have some great shots already. Great camera for the price.

I purchased one yesterday and paid for overnight shipping. NOT only did they take the money out of my account but I did NOT get my camera today- no one is answering my requests for information and now the camera has been removed from my list of purchases. What is oging on? anyone have any ideas?

Same here. I ordered mine after 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday and paid for 1 day shipping, which means it would be delivered today. I never got a tracking number and my order status says "Awaiting Shipping" but thankfully it hasn't been removed as yours has.

I too sent them a request for information on my order and I too have received no answer whatsoever.

I am NOT a happy camper.

Scratch that. It did come today, but I still have no tracking number. LOL!

The Z990 Kodak supplied batteries are already low on power after only 5 days--could be because it's their first use? The Eneloop AA's I put into the 5120 are still at 60% after 3-4 weeks in camera. Not sure if the 990 uses more power. Will swap batteries to find out.

I just received this camera and I love it! love the zoom and the clarity of pictures! Great Deal!!!!

Just read these comments after looking for a new camera for my wife and watching the prices on the Kodak line free fall - and I unfortunately missed out on this woot!. Purchased a new (NIB) z990 from Office Depot in a suburb of KC today (June 11th) for $125 plus tax. Glad I missed this woot! in a way as the z990 is an amazing camera and a good friend of ours that picked up one of these (the z5120 offered in this woot!) is dissatisfied with several aspects of the camera . . . so thanks for the info on the z990!
