anyone else notice that the "midnight" changeover is happening a couple minutes earlier than before the site change?

ckeilah

quality posts: 141 Private Messages ckeilah

I saw this coming. When was the change?

These are good ladders. This size is usable too. The bigger ones are hard to lug around.

Actually, I noticed the change at EXACTLY midnight. The new site must have swifter code.

Please do not increment my Quality Posts count. 69 is a good place to be. ;-)

Here is a video demonstartion. It might just be my computer but it seems like the transitions were poorly edited.

The pulp of the video is still there though.

One of the reasons you have not bought this ladder is because someone got hurt on a completely different ladder?

What an odd reason.

I've had a Little Giant ladder for a couple of years and really like it. Got it on the recommendation of a firefighter, someone who should know from ladders, and I've been very happy with its usefulness and versatility.

looks like it is one ladder sliding into another ladder. If that is the case, can I get multiple of these and make a 100 ft ladder?

lemme say this REAL slow Woot....heeecccckkkkkk no! why would i spend that much on a ladder when i could get a ladder at wally world for like $30? all this is is mobile steps. there doesn't have to be a "fancy" model. i mean, does this ladder take me there quicker?

That 3rd photo appears to depict this ladder half-supported on a pair of wooden boxes. Is that an endorsement of this configuration? Cuz I gotta tell ya, that doesn't seem very safe...

I have this one, paid a lot more. LOVE it: light enough for me to carry roll or drag; extremely stable, even on grass, and super weather rsistant. I also have had the 13' little giant extension ladder, for 6 years, which is in perfect condition despite being left outside in salt air year round. Also super steady, lightweight and very very versatile, just like all the Little Giant ladders. I'd snap this up if I didn't already have one. It will make a great Fathers Day gift! Hit the button!

I have an older little giant and I love it. Great ladder, very sturdy, well designed. Mine doesn't have the "comfort step" or the magnetic tray.........but I wish it did.. .lol

You're actually supposed to balance the other end on a couple of basketballs. Maybe they just didn't have any basketballs laying around.

This can be used on stairs. Maybe they didn't have stairs so they simulated it with some wooden boxes. They should have just searched harder for some basketballs.

So this is not the kind that will convert into a 10-16 foot extension ladder, right? Only A-frame?

These are terrific tactical ladders for mission critical applications compatible with any ecosystem that doesn't involve power lines.

Demonstration purposes only, of course. What you don't see are the anchor bolts holding those boxes to the floor and the angle brackets behind the boxes for stability.

I've used this ladder and I've used a competitor's ladder. This brand is much better; the locking mechanisms are stronger and more secure, the danger of pinching oneself in the mechanisms is much lower (big factor), the stability is better (note spread legs), the weight is lighter and the attached wheels are a big help in moving this around. The other ladder could do the same configurations such as scaffolding mode or stairstep mode but the Little Giant does it better

Correct, this is a A-Frame Step Ladder only. It does not convert to an extension ladder.

meaning, all it can do is change from a short A ladder to a tall A ladder. Instead of using it in short ladder mode, I could just get a reg sized non-adjustable tall A ladder and climb half way up.

I bought a similar ladder at home depot 4 years ago. Only $114, goes up to 13', and has served me EXTREMELY well over the years.

That ladder is quite different. Little Giant does make ladders like that, but this is something else.

I bought this same ladder last summer at Home Depot and I really like it. I have an extension ladder that I use mainly for getting on the roof, but I bought this because I was repainting the interior. I didn't see any ladders for $30 that were in any way comparable. I bought this one because it takes up less space and is easy for me to move around when it is not extended. It's lightweight and sturdy.

let him fall off that $30 cheapo ladder once or twice, he'll learn eventually... maybe.

That being said, I own one of these myself and just went in for one right now, it will make an excellent father's day gift.

We have this ladder and love it but let me warn you that it is HEAVY! If you have arthritis or some medical concern that prevents you from lifting heavy items, buy a wooden ladder.

Little Giants are awesome ladders. I got one, 15ft., a few years back from Woot! and I'm extremely happy with it.

Depsite regular complaining from folks that this is too heavy -- I have no issues moving it around the house. It's worth it for the safety and stability of the thing.

And keep in mind, it's like getting 2 ladders in one, so the extra weight (and price) of a good ladder is more than justified.
