Please feel free to drop a line to service@woot.com - as this appears to be an issue with certain colors and they're better equipped to help process that sort of thing!

Just now logging into Woot! I LOVE this vac. Be advised, however, if you have trouble lifting anything heavy or pulling/pushing same, then you will not be happy. The hose is probably the heaviest part of the vac, and geez it is heavy. That all said, it is a powerful product and I'll handle the weight (and the impending backache) to get the superb results.

It's about half price of a factory-fresh version, so it's a great price.

I bought mine from Woot a few months ago, and I have no complaints. This thing is awesome.

Consumer Reports ratings show you can get a top rated vac for half of this (discounted) cost.

I think I'll stick with data and objective testing over anecdotal and subjective opinions from those that already purchased. Seems their comments here only serve as a self justification on the money they spent. Sure it may be a fine vac for you, but that's not to say a cheaper one wouldn't have been as well (as CR data shows).

I like the picture of the Dyson on the front page ... looks like a "Keep on Truckin'" pose.

Dysons are great when they work, but there is a design defect with ball. From the extreme angles the ball twists and turns the wires pull from the brush motor causing them to stop spinning. That is why there are so many refurbished Dysons. Warranty on the refurbished unite are usually only 6 months. Buyer beware.

Well I bought this last time it was here, it arrived I unpacked it, put it together and plugged it in, it works, it is a vacumn nothing more, likes and dislikes;

Very maneuverable.
Easy to empty.
Turns brush off when placing back "in park"
Canister too small.
Attachment hose and tube like wraslling a python, and next to useless as are the attachments.
It cleans ok, I vacuumed with it then my Bissell and the Bissell picked up dirt and visa versa, so it cleans but so does the $50 Bissell. Sorry to all you Dyson affectianodoes but that's the facts.

I fell for all the hype, and got one, it IS a decent vacumn, but I certainly don't hold it in awe.

Just my twe cents.

I have a $60 Bissell from Walmart that I empty/clean the filter every time I use it.

Takes a couple minutes, just run the filter under warm water.

It's a beast and will last forever.

....I can't say that I have ever had that problem. I'm not even sure how it could cause that problem. Do you actually have a citation for that?

This happened to me on kids.woot just now too. I just figured since I ordered two sizes one was out, but I'm keeping an eye on it.

I got mine last woot, and I'm very happy with it. It goes over my regular carpet and my kids throw rug without me having to lift it up. I love that. It goes down almost flat for under the Lazy Boy.

The purple one on here is the Animal just without 2 attachments. You can just buy the attachments from Dyson separately.

SCORE!

My yellow one just arrived today... Thanks for the speedy delivery Woot Gods!

It works brilliantly... When I first started mine, the beater bar didn't start. But, after I "reset" the vacuum by opening and closing the filters on the "ball" part of the machine, it worked like a heavyweight champ.

Dyson seem to be a bit of an odd duck with QC. The good ones last for a long time, but if you get a bad one, the problems come out of the woodwork rather quickly and it seems to be one issue after another.
