Price looks great but reviews show problems with leaks.

Lemme tell ya, these things are so comfortable you won't believe it. I have both sizes for when I have company, and everybody agrees that they're a seriously great sleep. Better than a regular bed, in fact. Thought you should know......

Well, I found the original QVC listing at $179 for the queen, or you can pay $1,179 on ebay. And apparently Costco had it once for $149. In for 1.

Yeah, it turns out that Roger at work wasn't JUST the cool, friendly, trustworthy pal you thought he was, he's hysterically funny, and has a new series on CBS this fall!

Forget the chaise lounges and creaky recliners...THESE would be so cool in the home theater. "Hey come on in, lay down, watch a movie." Have several for serious movie-watching fun! Camp-out theater style! You're all invited!

The nicest thing in my past week was Matt Rutledge's "goodbye."

Things always change, just when you want them to stay intact.

Little Black Squares don't mean much anymore...can't wait to see what you do next, Matt.

These particular beds have some mixed reviews. Some say that they're amazing, and others say they're a bust. The common thread, when/while they work, they're comfortable (recommended to put a memory foam topper on for colder months, more comfort). The longevity of the mattress is questionable, most negative reviews are from short ownership, having faulty beds from the start. So to break it down -

Pros: Comfort, mattress that inclines, good customer service as far as replacements go

Cons: Heavy (around 42 lbs), takes up large space when being stored, common leakage with air mattress, not meant to be slept on daily/regularly

One review noted they last about 5 years, but this is contrary to those who had wear/leaks much earlier on.

So, if you are into air mattresses, and aren't going to use it all the time, don't mind having to do replacements, get one! However, if you're weak, have pets that are going to want to jump on the mattress, live in a place with no storage, and want this for travel, you're better off with something else. (Memory foam sleeping bags, anyone?)

I'm in for one. My husband and I both sleep better on air mattresses but they get leaks so easily. I'm hoping this one lasts a bit longer, but if not, at least I will get to have fun raising and lowering the headrest part for a while

I have had an Aerobed for 6 years (twin) for when the kids have someone sleep over. Its not a new model, but NO leaks after 6 years of kids sleeping on, jumping up and down on.

The eBay listing is $1,179.00 for the full size, not even the queen! But the shipping is free! Wow.

ThunderThighs: Any chance of finding out the deflated dimensions on each one?

rachelle33

quality posts: 5 Private Messages rachelle33

ThunderThighs...Can you find out and tell me if we can adjust the firmness of the mattress? It says we can adjust the incline in the description but doesn't mention adjusting the amount of air to firmer or softer for personal preference/comfort.

Edit: I copied and blew up the control and see there is a "Comfort Level" section with "Firmer" or "Softer" buttons to adjust for comfort!

Do you mean the dimensions when deflated in the storage bag? Go watch the video presentation of it on QVC and you'll see them in the bags deflated.

Pfffffft! I was doing some other work.

I'll ask. It would probably be the dimensions of the box or something.

Of course, you know that you can never fold these things to where they'll fit back in the box. It's right up there with trying to fold a fitted sheet.

UPDATE: Here are the dimensions of the boxes they'll come in. That's about as close as we'll be able to get. Your folding talents may vary.

Twin: 17.25"W x 9.5"H x 21"D

Queen: 19"W x 10.25"H x 21"D

I also found it interesting that you can buy sheets just for these incline beds. QVC's listings are here: http://www.qvc.com/qsearch/search.aspx Prices aren't too crazy either.

Every air bed I have ever owned has leaked at one time or another. Seams give out and CATS poke holes!

I've gotten very good at turning off all noise-producing items and listening for the very low "sssssss." Then it is super glue and a patch. But expensive, inexpensive...ALL air beds will leak.

acpress.com Not cute, but useful.

I feel that Woot has been selling more items above $50 since the beta.

Yes they are still deals, but where are the $2-10 super deals? Woot seems to have moved to more expensive items that may not move in the same volume as it used to have

Anyone know about mattress pads?

Will it take a standard queen-sized pad?

Memory Foam or regular padded?

And how tough would it be to hollow it out and hide a body?

OH crap... scratch that last bit. Sorry.
