Black, usually... depending upon the application and/or my mood. And the pen. My favorite pen ever was blue/black ink.

I tend to agree. Also, since I work in an office that actually still uses faxes, it's an easy way to tell at a glance which is the original.

I always said I was a bit racist when it came to my pens... I'll only use blue ink!

Where I live (suburb of Baltimore, MD) there's these GREAT pens left everywhere on purpose as part of the marketing campaign for the company... the pens are for Big Boyz Bail Bonds. I absolutely am OBSESSED with these pens and, um, liberate them from every restaurant, bar, and store I go to.

Black for everyday use. For work (see sig) it has to be RED!

That's my reasoning exactly. I am a paralegal, though, so I might have a bias based on that.

What? No love for the pencil? It writes much longer than a pen: about 35 miles compared to a paltry 3 miles at most for a pen.

I usually buy all my pens from pen island. They have excellent customer service.

I like the smoothness of the graphite/clay across paper. And the pencil sharpener is a great way to destress at the office without anyone getting hurt ;)

But, I use whatever promo pen my job gets sent that I like, so either blue or black. Free pens rule!
