While it's not actually a mouse, it has a thumb-stick for games so theoretically you could be using that instead of a mouse.

In for 1, hoping it plays well with Guild Wars 2 during the next beta event.

Something I might have bought if Woot had not betrayed American workers, and it's customers, by switching the shirt blanks to Anvil. I have not bought anything from woot or shirt.woot since, nor will I.

I would not recommend it for FPS. I personally think this is suited for MMOs, RPGs, CAD, and the like.

The reaction time won't be fast enough for FPS.

Slight learning curve, but if you use the traditional WASD config, you'll be right at home in no time. I love mine -- use it for QuakeLive all the time.

There are gamers and then there are "gamers".

Think of a way to program certain functions within a game that may take multiple key strokes to use just one key instead. Fully customizable controller for the ultimate in gaming control. More or less.

I used to pwn my friends in Quake Arena at LAN parties with the old version. (Before Razer bought the design)

The one I have has a crosspad instead of a thumbstick.

I owned the original Nostromo n52 and used it competitively in Unreal Tournament 2004 for many years. I wouldn't want to play without one and they are more than fast enough. There is a learning curve. Takes a couple of weeks to get used to it, but the advantages are huge.

I have played FPS's with one of these as well, once you spend the time to get used to the feel it is GREAT. I played counterstrike and Left For Dead using mine. I also used it in MMOS ( WOW and SWTOR ) it did ok for those.

i use it for FPS games. Its good for long gaming sessions. You can also get your mouse and keyboard set up closer together so it's a bit more comfortable and your arms aren't all spreadout. The joystick thing on the side though, you'll never ever use that.
