Quality & features. Consider that you paid about $70 for MagicJack Plus. $30 more initially and about $40 per year depending on your local taxes and you get a much more reliable phone service with 100% better sound quality and far better features. Just look at the ooma.com website vs. the magic jack site as others have pointed out.

We ditched our landline about 8 years ago, but having kids, and babysitters and such, we were considering getting one again. We went ahead with this deal, and it arrived today. It was extremely easy to set up, and I am impressed with the call quality. I am very happy with this purchase.

What features of premier do you find the most useful. I am trying to decide if primier is worth $10 a month.

I was looking at used units on Amazon and checked with Ooma. Ooma says you have to pay $79.00 reactivation fee if you buy a used unit as opposed to the refurbs they offer direct with no activation fee.

also, heard from my dad. he wants a second one, and now I'm thinking about getting one for here too. just checked our existing phone and it's Dect 6.0, so the only thing left to do is talk to my mother-in-law - she pays the phone bill as part of a bundle.
