About four years ago, I bought the Cummins P2400 Onan 2000 Watt Homesite Generator. It was, I admit, an impulse buy.
I have just used it for the second time following the super derecho that knocked out our power (not to mention our phones, water and Internet--first time I've ever lost either the land line or water before). We were without power for four days. Had it not been for this generator, not only would our supply of frozen burritos and other food perishables have been ruined, but we would have been without the fans that kept our house almost livable in the 100 degree heat (and 98% humidity). We even had enough power left over to keep the cell phones and ipads charged and running! And this was the second time I've been able to use it in this type of situation.
So, thanks for selling me this $304 impulse buy. It has paid for itself many times over (which almost makes up for all the other crap I've bought).
