I actually get the 5th and 6th off without using vacation days... my workplace is awesome.

Nurse. Not a single day off until Sunday.

I had off on Monday, used the memorial day holiday on Tuesday, had the Fourth off. So
it was an easy decision to take Thursday and Friday in order to have the whole week off. Another plus was the weather is I cooperating as well. I've been blessed. :-))

I work for an airline that operates 365 days a year and I work Monday through Friday, so the only way I get a holiday off is if it falls on a Saturday or Sunday. But don't cry for me, holidays are triple time since we're forced to work.

I took the 2nd and 3rd off.......

I'm in Montgomery County, MD that got hit hard with that derecho storm Friday night. It knocked out power to my work place and fried the A/C unit so were on Administrative Leave Monday & Tuesday so I just finished my 5 day weekend.

Yep! We get all days off, regardless of whether it's a holiday or not.

I'd rather work this week - while all the other "working class dogs" are taking their time and crowding all the fun "venues" - and then take my time off in a few weeks when they're back at work - and everything is no longer "crowded".!
Besides - why not work during an "easy" week like this one (because everyone from the office is standing in line someplace not work related!) - it's kind of like an extra couple of vacation days!.

I'm retired. I take all the days off.

Now get off my lawn.

I don't do anything except sit on Woot and play golf everyday. Every day is vacation. .... ..... Damn, life is good.

I'm working, over time... hubby took vacation. I'm a housewife so more work for me with him home all day lol. But I enjoy spending time with him at least =)

Actually, gonna do some camping... heading up to Maine for a few days, then hit some local state campgrounds on the cheap. The plan is to do some networking and pretty much try to enjoy the summer. He's already had one so-so offer for a job, and a few more options to explore... so we're as confident, as you can be while not working, that everything will work out.... fingers crossed that he'll get an even better job than the last one.

Work? Who are you kidding, w00t? I live in Michigan. We can barely remember the word.

How about none of the above? Some of us don't have jobs to take time off from - retired, unemployed, students, etc...

I'm working, but it's okay. Saving every vacation day I can so I have enough to take 3 weeks off around my wedding in September. Tahiti here I come!

I didn't ask for any days off but I got the 4th, 5th, and 6th off. I have to work Saturday though.

I'm a mailman. My regular day off is Wednesday, so they give me the day off before as my holiday. But, as my luck goes, I was forced out on Tuesday to cover for another man who took his vacation this week. So, working it is.

Nope, I prefer to hoard my vacation days...

Self Employed = work 7 days a week/52 weeks a year. Of course, I can't complain... most days I only work 10-15 minutes. On a busy day, I work 3-4 hours at most.

Have to work so I can pay for my WOOT!s
