gadfly666 wrote:Bought it and received today. Came DOA with a bad screen. Entire top portion of the screen flickers in and out. Waiting on hold 46 minutes for HP support, and transferred 3 times. Finally the support person told me it was not covered under warranty, and I should return it to Woot. She even suggested that I probably broke the screen and voided the warranty. Hopefully Woot will honor a replacement or refund.
Oh, after that I asked to talk to a manager. He said I could pay HP $300 plus 2 way shipping for screen replacement. Hahaha, very funny. This will be the last HP product I ever buy.

Yikes! Sorry about that! I see you've already emailed in. We'll get this taken care of.

Unfortunately one of my keys seems to have lost the nubs which hold the top section down to the keyboard grips. I've mailed woot and am waiting for a reply but don't anticipate it being a big issue. Hopefully they have replacements or can work it out quick enough because the computer is generally as expected otherwise. Nice large screen, textured trackpad more comfortable than thought, decent construction considering entry-level status (looks like it will hold together better than the Dell we were replacing).

Just picked mine up from UPS and opened it. There is no battery or AC adapter cord in the box.

I've just sent a message to member services.

Has anyone else had the screen black-out problem that is allegedly diagnosed with the flash pattern of the blinking caps lock and num lock keys? I've now worked my way through all of the steps HP says to take and none work. Communities elsewhere indicate that I'm SOL and that HP's call center is run by Satan, esp on this topic. Hoping one of you friendly people has had same problem and figured it out.

Got it, and my wife thinks it is good.

But I bought a couple blue tooth mouses... but It seems that this guy does not have bluetooth.

That's correct. It does not have Bluetooth.

You can review the specs from the sale here.
