From what I can tell this is the first time this has been offered in a non woot-off setting.

And Costco gives 2 years warranty.

Refurb only includes 90 days warranty, $45 SquareTrade for 1 yr. Better off @ Costco IMO

Bought my dad a 42" Vizio for his birthday a couple of years ago and it's been fantastic!

Needed tech support once due to my failure to RTFM...and Vizio support was excellent!

Internet Apps are the single best feature....ability to stream Netflix, Amazon VOD etc. is very, very cool...if all my TVs could do that, I'd cut the cable cord tomorrow.

If this model has the Internet Apps, buy now!

I have one of these from a previous Woot. No complaints, works great. Would buy again.

I do not believe it has the apps.

I want a TV I can mount horizontally under a glass table to make a video-game or "netflix while eating table".

Anyone know how to find out if this (or any other set) will be okay operated in a horizontal orientation?

Alas, no internet connectivity. I have a 42" Vizio with WiFi in our living room, and I love it. I've been on the lookout for a bedroom TV, and this would be perfect - if I could plug it into the network.

Just received this exact model from the Vizio woot deal. It worked great for about 4 hours. then I went to turn it on the next day and it is frozen on the vizio screen. It won't even turn off with the manual button, I have to unplug it. nothing against the brand, but I think I got a lemon. so be prepared to put in some extra work on the refurbs to eventually get what you pay for. I would go back and buy new from costco if I could...

I've had an earlier 37" version of this TV for almost 3 years now, almost no problems. I did buy the Vizio 4-year extended warranty at the time, so still covered there. No complaints about the TV at all.

Sounds like your warranty should apply perfectly, and Woot customer service is generally no problem to work with.

I bought the 47" Vizio about a year and a half ago. I am waiting for Woot to list a 60" or larger. C'mon, I want bigger!

If you can deal without the internet feature, this is a pretty decent deal. We bought a 42" Vizio and a 37" Panasonic. My bet is that this 37" Vizio has a much better picture than our Panasonic for less money but then the prices on all of these sets are still continually coming down.

Yeah idk if this is woot worthy. I purchased a Vizio 32" LED/LCD TV earlier this year from ebay for $300 refurbished, not a scratch on it! Picture quality is great but sound is a little tinny. Good with external speakers. I think the sound is bad because of how thin these tv's are, they put thin little speakers inside to save space but they have no kick.

I use a Vizio TV with my work for presentations and such. They work great and have great color. Definitely a good buy if you are in need of a new TV.

I got one of these in a previous wootoff. i've had it for over a year. picture is great, sound is crap. Also, the model i have doesn't have ARC, so to hook it up to my home theater system i have to use an optical cable, which is not a big deal.

Own this exact model, purchased from this exact site. Nothing special in terms of features, but does what it's designed to do. I use it as a bedroom TV and connect a laptop via HDMI to stream Netflix or watch DVDs. The only signs of use were small scuffs on the back because somenone opted to mount it on a wall and some scratches on the remote control. Vizio replaced the front bezel around the screen, so it looks brand new from the front, which is all that mattered to me, cosmetically.

I bought the 42" for my parents when it was sold on Woot! a while back. It didn't come with any instructions and when I contacted Vizio, I was told I have to go on the Internet to download the PDF file for the booklet. I think this is common now with companies; they save money. Although the Vizio television and remote have a bunch of extra (fancy) buttons/options, I like the off-brand television I have better - bought it through Walmart-com but can't remember the name right now - too early.

I bought a 22" Vizio refurb off of Woot a couple months ago. I don't watch much TV so the smaller size is fine for me.

But it looked brand new when I got it. No problems at all. Setup is a breeze and connected a ROKU box to it through HDMI.

I think some of you are being too harsh. Woot has excellent customer service and I think on the off chance the TV was damaged or didn't work, they'd take care of it.

I haven't been on Woot that long, maybe about 6 months but I have ordered over 100 items already. Of those, only 2 of them had issues and they were quickly taken care of.

So if you like this TV and think it's a good deal, don't let the negative comments dissuade you. If I had the extra money I would buy this just to watch the Harry Potter movies on Blu-Ray lol. And I would feel completely comfortable ordering it from this site.

I bought two of these (one model 370, one this one, 371). The picture is quite excellent. The only drawbacks are that the audio through the speakers barely gets loud enough for my living room and the packaging is scary. That is, both mine arrived UPS in fine shape, but in one case the box was starting to come apart. Essentially, these are just packaged in the boxes in which they would be delivered to a store, which might not always be adequate for being the UPS shipping carton.

Price s too high for a refurbished unit.

WARNING: (according to the Vizio manual)-
The photo here of the I/O ports is for the 32 inch model - the 37 inch model has far fewer options (in particular only ONE HDMI input and NO AV (RGB RCA video/audio) input - BOTH of these could be a BIG problem for a purchaser.

I have the "heavier" version (E371VA) and the picture is fantastic! Sound is weak, like most HDTVs, but I bought the Vizio 40 inch sound bar and it's great. It really is a great TV.

I have the 32" version of this model. Bought it two Christmases ago on Amazon refurbished for I believe $283 plus shipping, so around $300. I did my research and determined that it was probably the best tv for the size and price range I was looking at, and sure enough it has worked like a charm since through pretty heavy usage.

The difference between this model Vizio and the other models at the same screen size is the speakers. The other Vizio models have similar picture resolution or maybe SLIGHTLY better, but their speakers are pretty weak and tinny. This model has a great sound in its speakers for what it is, which is why I chose it over the other models.

I'm really tempted to make a move on this one since I like the 32" so much, but I can't justify buying a tv right now. I HIGHLY recommend this tv.

Keep in mind when searching for reviews on this tv that there are I believe three different models at the same price and screen size with slightly different model numbers. They're very different tvs in performance, so make sure you're looking up "E371VL" for the model number.

I don't know if it can mounted horizontally (probably), but the heat generated might be a problem if it is mounted near the glass. The TV may overheat and cause damage to itself. My 55" Vizio heats the entire end of the room it sits in. I'm thinking the larger the TV, the more heat it likely generates, but this smaller one will certainly get warm.

The heat would likely warm the tabletop and gently waft out from under the sides of the table into the laps of those seated if ventilation is allowed.

Additionally, I think looking at a wall mount is much easier than craning one's neck sideways to see the picture under the tabletop, since only one viewer (you?) will have a view that will be straight on. Your plan is an interesting idea in theory, but in practice it may prove impractical.

What you may consider is doing what I've seen done about 15 - 20 years ago with computer monitors, mounted under glass in countertops in a few stores. I think they were mounted at a 45 degree angle under the glass. The top of the TV would mount nearer to the top of the table, buit not immediately below it. The bottom of the TV would be lower. The viewing angle and distance would be better for those sitting at the table, and putting it lower than directly under the table top would help solve some of the heating issues.

Other that the heat generated, I love my Vizio. Wasn't thinking it would be so hot when I put my computer desk next to it though. I bought a small Vornado flippy fan (in lovely torquoise) here to cool me!
