Hey!! Today's W00t's b-day ... where's the Balloons of Celebration!?

Happy Birthday Woot!

I remember when Woot's birthday meant a Balloons of Celebration I set my outlook last year to remind me. Sniff. Perhaps the Birthday Week comment offers hope.

I stayed up for 2 reasons, Woot's/MY B-day starting @ midnight, and the Balloons of Celebration.. but no Balloons of Celebration..

Usually I snag a Big ol' Celebration and then celebrate for 24 hours. Guess I'll have to try something different this year.

Woah! Woot's 8? That's awesome, what is that in internet years?

I celebrate my birthday by curling up into the fetal position inside my closet, with my hands clamped firmly over my ears in a vain attempt to muffle the voices in my head as they sing happy birthday to me.

nothing formal. Just a couple rounds of Borgnining.

My birthday too. The rest of you who share this should know another famous person with the same birthday is teh reason the month is called July. That's right, Julius Caesar was born on July 12 too!

As I get older....mostly by my self unless someone is nice enough to just drop in. All children have moved out of state...so it's just not the same. They use to invite friends and family over for a cookout or something and sometimes it would be a surprise gathering. But now it is just another day of the week for the most part.

Same way I celebrate St. Valentine's Day; gently sobbing at the bar.

for mine, it's too... inconvenient for my friends or family to want to celebrate, so I stay home from work and do nothing.

Happy birthday W00T! I'm a firm believer that you should celebrate your birthday for a few days before, on, and a few days after... and celebrate it however you want. Whether it be a big party blow out, dinner, movies, or just simply having a birthday breakfast-in-bed that consists soley of wine and chocolate.... (guilty).

Yes, all of the above, about in that order too. :-)

My boy is about to turn 8 and I found woot while looking for good deals in Las Vegas for one last trip before the kiddo arrived. My Subaru also turns 8 (and is getting $2500 worth of repairs in the shop while I type).

While I have never thought of my time as a wooter in terms of my boy, they are now inexorably intertwined. That and our Subaru. Thanks woot, you've been the source of so many conversations over the past 8 years I can't imagine what I would have talked about without you.

Spending a relaxing day with friends/family and maybe drink some fine beverages.
