Just to add fuel to the non existing fire. I don't believe zombies are scientifically possible baring the supernatural of course. Once you introduce the supernatural than anything is possible, flying monkeys, raining toads, (not to be confused with reigning toads) and Microsoft being able to compete with Apple and Google in the phone/tablet space.

I actually had to stop and think about it. Having done that, I realized that I think that if you could drive directly east and run into Lake Michigan rather than Indiana, you are definitely in Northern IL. So I80 is exactly right. That being said, I live in a fancy suburb north of Chicago.

    Basically, everyone is right.

I have an in at the post office and can get mine a day earlier than scheduled. (I work there.)

Smartpost is drop shipped by fedex to the usps. In most post offices the packages are dropped off too late to get sorted and out to be delivered the same day. Some places get them early or the carriers are there late enough to ge them out the same day they arrive at the post office. Some of the smaller post offices have the packages dropped off at a nearby post office to be sorted and trucked to them.

I will update the tracker and post my weights later.

go to myfedex.com create an account. you don't have to give cc numbers-it's free to do.

go here. fill out, copy/paste your tracking number.

and my 3xl shirt hubby thought he would glom onto, but it's my sleep shirt.and wasn't there a video saying something about things "even we wont sale" with that barbie backpack being the first item they listed?

I'm lucky to have of those post offices that are big enough to get the packages directly, but small enough that they can still manage to get it out on the same day (they usually get it before 8am, and have everything sorted by 9am)

It is a different division of fedex. They use different warehouses for sorting and transportation. I think but I am not sure that the truck drivers that transport the packages are contract and not fedex employees. I could ask if inquiring minds wanted to know.

We are progressing rapidly through the phases this time! Not even a week since the Birthday, and already we have the start of Phase 4!

The Phases of the Bag of Crap (according to DrGandalf):

Phase 1: The discussion of getting vs. not getting the Bag of Crap, with the usual reference to the cursed bots, Woot's horrible servers, and related.

Phase 2: The discussion of when will Woot finally ship the Bags, and did you get your tracking number, and the creation of the spreadsheet.

Phase 3: The discussion of how much the packages are predicted to weigh, how big they are, how Smartpost is sending them all around the country, and whether they are arriving early, late, or maybe never, and how to find out all the tracking information.

Phase 4: The revealing of the contents of the much awaited Bags of Crap, with much hooting and Wooting by those that are happy, some grumbling by those that are not, but with most folks happy that they got to play the game no matter what they got. Plus, we can hope for The Letter!, even though there hasn't been one for a long time.

Where in this list is the promise to never use Woot again due to getting stuck in the AoD?

A little late to the party here, but my "who-smell-just-like-you" weighs 9.5 lbs and is due July 24th!

Phase 1: The discussion of getting vs. not getting the Bear or Cat?, with the usual reference to the cursed bots, Woot's horrible servers, and related.

I think that fits under the "and related" clause in phase 1.

so out of boredom i mapquested the path from dallas texas (origin site) to berlin wisconsin (next step in my smart post). i notice it's listed as a 17.5 hour drive. is it wrong that while they are driving thru my town i want to stop the truck and make them give me my boxes so they don't have to go to wisconsin then indiana before getting to illinois?

Part of getting crap is watching it wander around the country before it gets to you.
I had one go past the house 4 times before it finally came.
Bounced back and forth between two post offices twice before they finally figured it out.

Crap has also been known to take a cross country trip before finding it's way to a house.
