Are these noise cancelling, so I don't have to hear the sound of my dad's 70's soft rock on road trips?

no they are not

I have these on right now and, no, they're not noise canceling. They are light and very comfortable, though. Great sound, too.

Ah, Woot come on, I just bought these from you last month for $10 more... what's up with that?

They are great headpphones, especially for those with big heads/ears.

But seriously Woot, since you are owned by Amazon, you really should credit my account $10. Then I will buy another pair of these.

Crap, then I'd have to hear him point out useless "points of intrest" along the way to my mom. On the other hand, I really hate headphones I have to stick into my ear...

My friend said they're the most comfortable and best sounding headphones he's ever used. He says they're comparable to those he bought for $100. And finally, this person said that it was $10 less than he paid for it, last time it was on Woot.

I bought this when posted last time. Great headphones! They are very comfortable - and I wear glasses. Just the right amount of pressure. They are NOT noise cancelling but they do a good job of muting the sounds in an office environment.

Today's woot enabled me to buy a second set to keep at home.

They come with a one year Incase warranty. Why didn't you use it?

So I usually watch movies late at night in an apartment building.

Started using headphones so I could turn it up, but they aren't that great. Like $20 pair I bought years ago.

Would these be good for Watching action movies etc.. Loud?

Ones I have kinda crackle if guns/explosions going off.

These are not noise cancelling, nor are they noise isolating. Meaning, in my office where I use them, I can still generally hear if something is going on around me provided the volume is reasonable. From what people around me say, there is almost no perceptible noise leaking out when I listen. They are the most comfortable over the ear headphones I have ever worn (compared to Shure, Beyerdynamic, Grado, Sony, mostly). The sound is nice and fun to listen to, doesn't tire me out after a 2-3 hours, but I find the bass to be difficult to find all the notes in and distorted, though there is plenty of it. Human vocals sound really, really warm to my ears.

Overall, I was happy to buy them for $65, for $50+s/h they are unlikely to be a disappointment.

Here it was in April and Here it was in June Over 150 comments for your reading pleasure.

They also made a brief appearance During an April Woot-off

From what I have ready about these I don't feel they are by any means worth the MSRP they want. If you really like the colours you won't be disappointed with the sound for the money you're spending.

Here is an unboxing and review.

And For absolutely no reason at all here is a song that's stuck in my head ever since Music Monday with Slydon.

Yes, it was $10 more last month for these headphones, but they were $20 more when I bought them here in April. I've gotten my $20 worth in that time, though.

So the cords are interchangeable? Does that mean if a channel ends up going out you can buy replacement cords? And if so are they proprietary to Incase or would universal ones work (if they exist)?

I also use them for watching movies and, no, no distortions. I'm sure I have them cranked up too loud, too, so if they were going to crackle, that would've already happened. They sound great!

Bought them @ the $75 price point and would happily do so again. They're a steal at $50. No good for noise reduction, but they really sound amazing. They sound a thousand times better than Beats, and I prefer them over Sennheisers too. They aren't flat response monitor headphones, so if you are buying them just to mix and master music, fine, buy some Sennheisers and brag about how your cans are better than anyone elses. But for 1--you should never mix/master with headphones anyway. And 2: Your music will sound BETTER on these Incase cans than it will on flat response headphones. If you are buying headphones to actually listen to music--these are perfect.

Same, and I'm with you about buying another pair, if Woot is feeling the love with a $10 credit. I'd get my daughter the gray/blue so she'll stop stealing mine.

So how about it Woot? Feeling the love for your Wooters?

Awwww, I'm sorry. That's just the way retail sales are - sometimes the price gets lower. But we don't price match or refund when the price goes lower.

It's tempting.. but headphones are not very 'punk.' It's better to have maudio av 40s, play them loud and disturb the neighbors.

Ok, apparently these are heavenly for big eared, big head folk...but what if you're of the small ear, small head genre? Any insight anyone?

Are these open aired or closed design? I don't want my sweat to pour all over them them and rust them out. Why does these titanium drivers only go up to 20khz? Maybe they use Samarium–cobalt magnets

parkermc

quality posts: 20 Private Messages parkermc

This small-eared (big(gish) head) person finds them very comfortable. They look like they would fit smaller heads very comfortably, too. And they are a closed design, but have yet to make me overly hot because of it.

Is the volume control on the remote compatible with non-apple products e.g., android phones?

Blingazinga

quality posts: 1 Private Messages Blingazinga

I bought these last time and am extremely happy. Super comfortable for all day use and great sound. The cord they come with is fairly short. I ordered a longer cable from monoprice.com and only the right ear piece would play both channels. I RMA'd it and the second cord had the same results. I have a 3rd cable coming via RMA and am hoping for better luck. The cable I got from monoprice is supposed to be stereo but does not have the mic or inline controls. Hoping I just had bad luck and it isn't a proprietary cable.

Anyone know of an adapter that takes the 4 channel headphone/mic connector this has and splits it off into separate headphone and mic inputs? Like to try using these for voip on my windows computer.

(edit) Just to clarify I know these will work just fine in regular headphone jacks but then you lose the microphone functionality.

Thanks, I've been using bose inner-ear buds for years and since I've never tried over-ear headphones I want to make sure I won't feel like I'm swimming in them.

It doesn't work on my Zune, but works great with my MacBook. I don't know about Android phones, but I suspect not.

Approx. how short is the cord? Is it tolerable for just walking to class or work?

Yes, the 2 chords that come with them are interchangeable. (They both have the volume/mic part as well)
