You know what one of the Woot Podcast Team's favorite meals is? Warmed-up leftovers! In that spirit, all this week we're reheating bits of the filler we used to pad out our recent Wootathon. "Enjoy" a "new" video every weekday! It's a Podcast Listening Party!

The year was 2008. The month was June. The hot new United States Supreme Court decision of the moment was United States v. Santos. And everyone was boppin' to the sounds of a hip, fresh Woot podcast: "National Accordion Awareness Month Is Here." Hearing it again, it really takes you back, doesn't it? OmiGAWD, why were we doing our hair like that?

I'm sorry. I really tried to watch this video, but I couldn't make it all the way through.

I now notice a previously-unexpressed need for Woot! albums on vinyl. Or Woot! albums at all, I guess. Or a "greatest hits" post. Anything!

As a kid, I wanted piano lessons. I got accordion lessons. My grandfather liked it because they could be hired by themselves to play stuff like cocktail hours.
Grandpa had a wedding band until he was too old to drive at night.

Who would want an accordion at their wedding?????????

Never moved onto the full size instrument. An accordion is not a piano!

WE LURV YOU TOO! Dork!!!
No greater love is lost than that not shared.

There are also several posts in our archives tagged "wootcasts-from-the-past" where we've grouped old episodes according to themes, like "Tax Day," and "Ice Hockey":

Nice!

Of course, now I have the ethical dilemma of taking a sick day to listen to podcasts of yore...

(FYI, I use the "Banana Panini" song whenever I'm not sure my speakers are working.)

Friends don't let friends drink & play accordians... Just don't. It will only end in disaster. And maybe a Weird Al retrospective. Either way, it ain't pretty.
