I do. I have a 32" CRT tv. It's absolutely huge. But then again, I'm a poor college student and I was able to get it for free.

What a Bear or Cat?, put the tshirts back up so we can take a nap!
hagbard78 wrote:I'm still sporting a 26" CRT in my bedroom. Hardly use it though so no need to upgrade yet. Not for lack of Woot trying to tempt me though.
You gotta get rid of that thing. I had to part with a 36" inch Sony CRT that I bought for 2 grand back in the early 2000's. It took me a long time before I could let go of it. It was the 2K I spent that was killing me.
actually aoc is really good i have a few of there monitors and they look and perform great
Dylan L wrote:Has there been a bag of cr*p yet in this wootoff
Negative/.
My experience with AOC's monitors (I didn't buy them) has been average. It works as advertised and none of the 3-4 a friend bought have broken 2 years in, but turn on is slow, colors/brightness aren't great, and a better display looks far better, even in the 21-23" range the monitors I've seen are. I'd expect this will work fine for a basic TV, but you will not be mistaking it for a good TV ever, and it will not make a good monitor. Also, with a 6.5ms response time, good luck gaming.
Too bad there's not something like "tech.woot" that they could put all these TVs, Rokus, cameras, etc. on.

Whoever commented about not seeing Throbby the button. Kids is at 10% and Throbby is there. I'm guessing with the sales with smaller quantities, they go from 20% to sellout so fast he doesn't have time to make an appearance.

Lies!
well, there are more than 10 TVs going by the 100% after only one guy bought one. Yaaaaay [/sarcasm]
Yeah, actually still do have a CRT TV in the bedroom. Still works fine and will keep it until it quits, can't receive anything due to changes in transmition or He comes back to take me home (which ever comes first :-) ). Happy Wooting, Turn Key
ThunderThighs wrote:PSssst: Different model/size.
No, this one was on earlier. Maybe dif brand but same specs... I almost bought it.

ROFL. Very nice.
Bed time. Not worth a duffel bag and a bug swatter.
Hey look, someone finally bought one! It only took 5m 25.001s!
ok sadly to say this woot off does not feel like a woot off lol. I have not needed to spend as much time here to keep track of things. only check every few hours. Almost bought a couple things on sport but had to leave when they came up. Hope everyone enjoys this woot off soon I am off to bed. & preparing to buy some land in another country too bad woot don't ship to other countries for the $5 lol.

I've been seeing it. The past 16 hours.
No. They're waiting until I drive home from work. It's a very tight ship/careful schedule, but the last two woot offs have only dropped bags during the small 8 hour window that I'm at work. However, government internet is slow so success is nill for me.
I have the heaviest CRT in the world...in the world! Don't believe me, try to move it. I should buy one of these.
I'm looking at this on my new (well...refurb..) 47" LED 3D 1080p LG TV (with smart tv) I bought a couple weeks ago on woot. The screen is so clear and sharp. The picture so. Stunning. I must say folks, from this looks like a great deal for certain.
robdcm wrote:How would this work as a monitor?
I use it daily via hdmi out of my laptop, great tv, works great as a monitor too, I've had it for almost 2 years, got it as a black Friday special at radio shack for $300 and was worth every penny then, displays standard def and high def very well. Reccomend this tv to anyone. AOC Envision has been making tvs and monitors for decades, great product, great price!!
That's right everyone. Go to bed. Nothing going on here.. That way I can get all the Brigade of Campers! Bwhahah ;)

Yeah, I know, and I will someday. It was one of my first 'big' purchases after I moved out on my own about 13 years ago. Still works great though, except for the whole missing the edges of shows that are now meant to be viewed in a 16:9 view rather than 4:3.
I wish I was rich. Then I could hire someone to buy me miscellaneous crap and send it to me in the mail.
I'm bummed, I'm a newb....was hoping to get my first bevy of camels today....

Yes, there is a downside to our heavy, heavy TVs...the picture is out of date too. (Now I am tired and sad.)
Hm, the turkey is a little dry. THE TURKEY IS A LITTLE DRY? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

1366 x 768 x 60Hz..... 768 pixels of vertical space is rough - a 1080p is 1680x1080 and imo, that's still rough. 16x10 computer monitors FTW.
Assuming 78 is the year you were born, you are a year older than me. I know exactly the pain of that "major" purchase after being on my own. That 36" behemoth was mine as well too. Thing weighed 300lbs. If you ever move, donate it. Get rid of it. It's just clutter and worthless now.
You don't have a bunch of Tandy 3000 computers around the house do you?
I hope we can see a bagless Woot off. Seriously.
I do want to clarify, I do not game with my computers, when I use this as a monitor it's for Netflix, downloaded movies, web surfing, word, excel and the like. I swear by it as a tv, am watching Netflix on it right now.
anago wrote:Is there like a TV punch card where the seventh one is free? I can't think of another reason for all these TVs.
This should be a Post of Quality.
Actually of the...{counts on fingers} NINE TVs in my house right now, only two are newer model LED/LCDs. Two are 1080 projection models, one's a 720 projection, one is a 7" digital portable, and the rest are CRTs.

Shhh don't call it worthless. If you hurt it's feelings it can squash you under those 300lbs. All it takes is one well-placed power cord. ( or ill-placed power cord depending on your perspective...)
