Wooters convinced me to by a garment steamer about 6 months ago and I don't think I've used my iron since. It's great for woot t-shirts BTW.

I just ordered this one because I really have wanted one with bottom clips. I'll give my other one away to a family member.

Bought a different garment steamer from Woot a while back, and boy does it beat ironing. Love it.

Wondering; would this work to steam a bag of woot monkeys ?

I got one very similar and it is still going strong. It's a nice thing to have for in the morning when you do not have time to iron but there are one too many wrinkles in your shirt. And the price is cheaper too from when I last bought. If you are thinking about it, go for it its a pretty decent steamer.

I think it was theguruguys who made A great post that is tempting me to buy one of these. Let me try to find it...

Here we go!

theguruguys wrote:I bought this a
few woot!'s ago and have since thrown away my old iron. It was the first steamer I have ever tried and it has since been incoorporated into my morning routine. I'm an IT guy, shorts and a tee-shirt in the summer are normal attire and being single I don't exactly empty the dryer out and fold everything as I should. My shirts were always full of wrinkles and I would more often than not have the time to iron them as I wake up late and hustle to make my first appointment.

This steamer changed that all. Now I turn on the steamer, pull out a shirt from the dryer, go brush my teeth, then come back and spend about a minute taking all the wrinkles out of the shirt. It is so much easier than ironing. I have used it daily since it arrived from woot! with normal tap water and it has worked perfectly with no signs of slowing down.

In a nutshell, if you were like me and trying to decide to try a garment steamer for the first time, go for it. You shouldn't be disappointed with this Sunbeam model.

This is for a different steamer but the story is still *very* relevant
Same Manufacturer. Same Wattage. Different Model#.

Peas but not carrots, which is annoying as I like the frozen mixed vegetable packs.

Works well for fresh broccoli too.

Things to look for in a garment steamer:

Compact nozzle to maneuver around seams. Check.

Large capacity chamber of water so you don't need to refill often. Check

Fast steam production so you don't have to stop to wait. Check.

Built in place to hang garments so you don't have to hang a hanger on a door. Check.

This maybe the best garment steamer in terms of features and cost I've seen in a while if the specs are indeed accurate.

I've never even used an iron, and with steamers like this (I have an older model) I don't know why I'd ever need to. These things work great for getting out the wrinkles in my suits, shirts, shorts, and even jeans.

Don't know what I'd do without one.

If you have never used a steamer, trust me once you have you will never iron again. I bought this for my mom for christmas. It is SO MUCH better than the one I own. I'm thinking about throwing mine down the stairs so I have a reason to buy this one.

Which one do you think is better the Sunbeam or the Haan garment steamer? I have the Haan and love it but might be needing another one. Need some opinions here please!

I purchased the Haan steamer - from Woot - a few months ago. It is the same wattage (1500) and looks almost identical. I am not all that happy with mine.

I wonder if it is the brand or if I just have extra wrinkly shirts. Same amount of time to iron the shirt, with better results from the iron.

Is it just me, or does it look like your family of snakes got let out and is escaping???

But don't worry, I think i just found them on Tech.

I have the Haan and I don't have to iron after I use it. Maybe your using it wrong. Wonder if this machine is better. I looked it up and it's much cheaper than the Haan

I can vouch that the Sunbeam steamer I bought awhile back at woot! is still running strong. I like the clips on this model as well and may too upgrade.

That's what I have. It works great but I saw one once with those bottom clips and thought that was a great idea especially for tshirts.

I have one of these steamers and it is awesome. I used to use it instead of ironing but now that I work at home, it's back in the original box and in the garage.

One unique thing I've used it for was to remove wallpaper from a couple houses. If you've never done that before, you'll find it quite difficult unless you have special wall paper removal tools and chemicals. This was a chemical-free method to do it.

I have a cheap, cheap steamer that I currently use, and it's head and shoulders better than ironing. Looking at this steamer to upgrade. Steaming is quicker, gentler on clothes, and waaaaaay easier than ironing. I hate ironing, but don't mind steaming.

As far as I'm concerned, if steaming is an option, then ironing is for suckers.

In for one! I've used steamers for at least the last 5 years and they are SO much better than ironing. I have a small handheld that goes in my suitcase for every trip. Currently using the Shark model with the pad that hangs over a door. I like having the surface to press against, but that steamer gets heavy. Thinking I will still use the pad when needed with this one.

I hate wearing wrinkled clothes and agree with so many previous posters that once you try a steamer, you will never go back to ironing! Even the cheapies that spit water are better than an iron!

I'm in for 3. This seems like a delicate way to tell a few people that they are generally wrinkled messes.

Bought a steamer the last time, tried it. Have to say it's complicated, hard to store, and haven't used it since. It stares at me from its place next to my dresser. I'm just sayin.

I got the rowenta one from a year or two ago. We love it, but it tends to drip, and the crease attachment for the pants kind of sucks. Wonder if this one would do any better?

I liked it it when the old woot! would post that part in the specs or description.

If it has a List Price, it is new. If not, it will say Refurbished where you see the List Price. It's also on the detail page in about the same area.
