One of Orc's comments about the weekend, was that he missed the cooler weather and the outdoor mingle space (or any mingle space).... of course our costumes were a bit warm.

We finished shopping last night. Other than shoes for PE we didn't buy any clothes. I'll go back for fall/winter sneakers for play and general wear when there is a better sale, the back to school sale was disappointing.

Good morning everybody! My best friend from elementary school and her hubby and grandson are coming to visit today. It is her birthday so I made her a cake. We will eat lots of flounder and hopefully they will stay long enough to go to the concert at Ocean Isle Beach tonight. I didn't see her for 30 years. We have been able to get reacquainted since we started spending so much time at the beach. It is pretty cool that we picked up our friendship so easily.

It took forever to ship, so that is why it only came a few days ago.

I was feeling the same way, especially since mine didn't arrive in time to steam the costumes for geekgirlcon and I had to iron or forget it... one of the things I bought it for was those costumes.
