Well, how do you fare compared to the Zeitgeist? Chat up your fellow wooters and let us know how lame this poll was or what obvious choices we missed. For example: Was this poll a) STUPID, b) DUMB, c) POINTLESS or d) ALL OF THE ABOVE?

My cell phone is my watch. Most people probably concur with me.

Other...last watch had a carbiner clip. Kept it clipped to duffles, backpacks, bags.

Proud "lefty" (that is, wearing it on my right wrist, so the "left-handed" method) here!

I don't wear a watch because I'm really unconcerned with the time.

Cell phones have indeed made the standard wrist watch an antiquated item, however, I still have a special place in my heart for those watches that are special or outstanding in some fashion.

I have different watches because my bird plays with them and has damaged a few. So, most of them are for the bird and the others are for wearing out.

Proud "lefty", but still wear the watch on the left wrist!

She hasn't learned the pickpocketing techniques yet. I'm still trying to get her to learn how to remove a Rolex.

Agreed. Pocket watches are definitely the way to go.

Since the advent of the flip-phone, we've sort of gone back to "pocket watches", except our pocket watch is our mobile phone.

Left wrist.

Too much trouble to take out my phone and hit a key to wake it just to see the time compared to look down and done.

Agreed.

Plus, my wrist feels naked without my watch when I am out and about.

Another vote for in my pocket on the end of a chain.

Left wrist (right-handed) otherwise.

Usually wearing a 'beater' automatic wristwatch on my left arm (Miyota movement), or an antique WWI-era pocket watch if I'm dressed up. I can't see any reason for a general purpose Timex/Fossil quartz (battery) watch since most people just rely on their cell phones for the time. Anything I would wear should be either mechanically/historically interesting or a sentimental piece.

Agreed. And it's much harder to inconspicuously check the time during a meeting or some other situation where you don't want the other person to feel you're more concerned about the time (or your phone) than what they're saying.

It's funny, I wear a watch on my right wrist even though I'm right handed. I remember when I was younger I realized it was easier to look at my watch without the teacher noticing if it was on my rIght wrist.

I had one teacher who'd get mad If he caught us looking at the clock or our watches, so this was my way tI beat the system! It stuck ever since!

I was in field service of electronic equipment, stopped wearing watches due to sticking hands in tight areas. Now I can't wear a watch and with all the other sources of time don't need one.

I just received a nice watch from my groomsmen, and decided to wear it on my right wrist. Now I have a wedding band on my left. I feel out of balance if I wear all my male accesories to one side.

I haven't worn a watch in probably 10 years. But when I did wear one, I wore it on my right wrist. And I'm a righty.

When I was young but old enough to know better, I couldn't tell left from right so I started wearing a watch everyday on the same wrist so I could tell directions. To this day, ask me left or right and I will covertly pretend to check the time before I answer.

I am a lefty and wear my watch on the left and my buddy is a righty and wears his on the right. He says he just likes it on his dominant hand.

I agree with this. Being habitually late is just disrespectful.

(I don't have a watch anymore. I used to love my watches but I just use my phone as a clock now.)

I'm just hanging out, really.
