We've reached the 4th day of the Contest of Countries Competing Competitively, which means you've got one more day to vote for Greatest Author and two more days to vote for Coolest Fighting Style! Today, though, we're talking music. Best composer? Nah! We want to have more fun than that, so we're going with Raddest Punk Band! Let's meet the contestants that punk scholar Jason Toon has assembled for us (voting at the bottom):

Representing the United States, it's the Ramones:

Representing Japan, it's Guitar Wolf:

Representing Australia, it's the Saints:

Representing Argentina, it's Attaque 77:

Representing Great Britain, it's the Clash:

Representing Serbia, it's Pekinska Patka:

Representing Sweden, it's the Hives:

There they are! Now please VOTE and SUBMIT!

England's representative should have been the Sex Pistols! (Even the English agree -- they played a snippet of the Pistol's "God Save The Queen" during the opening ceremonies).

But I voted for the Clash, as they are terrific as well (just not as radically, deliciously, snarkily punk).

Sorry, but it's "Ramones" not "The Ramones"

Gotta go with the Ramones.

Although if given the choice of other it would be 27 Devils Joking, if only for their name alone. Which is not to say their music wasn't totally rad. It still is.

I never thought there would be a Sex Pistols clip -- time heals all -- would really like to hear how Johnny felt about being included

I yam what I yam...

The qualifying for Team Great Britain was tough, but the Clash squeaked it out when they actually managed to release a second album.

(And there was a snippet of "London Calling" in the opening ceremony as well.)

I would say Shonen Knife. Or Teengenerate even, but Guitar Wolf was a great choice.
