Step ladders are A-Frame ladders. Or as wikipedia says, inverted Vs.

I guess Little Giant did not want to be redundant. But as others have said it is an A-frame ladder. And if you do a comparison on Little Giants website for the Select Step 5-8, they give the statistics for it in A-frame configuration:

If you notice, there are NAs for extension, scafford and work bench stats as it is an adjustable step ladder.

Is it helpful to mention, or not allowed, or what, that home.woot currently has the 22 foot Little Giant, and a choice of accessories? Just surprised it hasn't been mentioned. I bought one of those and the accessory bundle.

We use a longer one at the fire department to change smoke detectors and so on but it is the same concept.

Very easy to use just make sure you keep it oiled up because if you don't you'll notice it 'catches' a bit and makes it harder to deploy.

I wish ours had the tray like this one. Recommend this highly.

Anyone else seem to be waiting a really long time for shipping on this item???? I ordered it on monday and am still waiting for it to ship!!!!

I am. Purchased as a gift (first purchase here) on 4 August. I logged in to check the status, and mine is still awaiting shipping.

This is my second Little Giant ladder. The first is a standard 18' and I have used it a lot over the last 7 years. Little Giant has done it again with this step ladder. I have now used it and must say it does everything as advertised and is a great ladder. I can now give me aluminum A frame 6' and 8' ladder away!
