Well, how do you fare compared to the Zeitgeist?
Chat up your fellow wooters and let us know how lame this poll was or what obvious choices we missed.
For example: Was this poll a) STUPID, b) DUMB, c) POINTLESS or d) ALL OF THE ABOVE?
I'd buy you a green dress.
(but not a real green dress, that's cruel.)
I live close to Nevada, so brothels here I come.
I would definitely invest it to make another mil. That mil I would blow on strippers and booze.
Both B and D. I wouldn't leave the workforce. I would invest the money keeping only a small sum to pay off a few bills and buy a couple of things I want. The million would likely end up being my retirement fund.

I'd buy you a K-car. (A nice Reliant automobile.)
I leave it to the immortal words of Diedrich Bader.
Where is the "Use it all on woot.com" option?!?!?!

A combination of most of those. Still work, donate some to charity, put a bunch away & earn interest, buy a few nice things, start a no-kill animal shelter.
I said invest, but the strippers and booze sound really good as well. I guess I would invest it so I had enough income to keep me in strippers and booze for the rest of my life.
I'd get a decent house and do some traveling.

Cheers to THAT!
I'de buy a house in the tropics and go live there.
You forgot an answer:
That's easy. I'd just slide that wad over to my father. He's like one of the top brokers in the state.
I'd still work, I actually like what I do, and I'd probably just pay off all bills, and have a golden nest egg.
Strippers & Booze!!!
Ok..fine I'll just invest it
I'd probably keep working (maybe not quite so hard).
It's not the taxes so much; we'll need that mil to send the kids to college!
"Besides two chicks at the same time? ... Nothing."
Give some away,invest some,spend some,pay off bills.
A mix of 2, 3, and 4.
If I won a billion dollars...a mix of 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5.
I would take it and move to Canada... build a rad "end-of-times" survival shelter and stock it with all the slim jims I can fit.
Simple investment plan, CDs of 1yr - 5yr of $20K a piece. When the cycle comes up, hit the renewal unless the cash is really needed. This could be extended up to 10 years if needed.
At least this way after it is blown on strippers and booze, there is still come cash coming in every year for the next few years.
I always thought it was hookers and booze. Sounds more fun anyway.
What could you invest in and actually gain right now? Most are losing Millions not gaining when they invest. Id say buy a couple fun things and then travel. Enjoy it.

Real Estate (ex: Texas). Buy&repair 10 foreclosed houses $100k/ea. Rent each @ $1100-1300/mo. $11k-13k/month tax free after depreciation. Screen (credit, criminal, employment, rental history) the tenants to reduce potential headaches. 12-15% return typically. Or sink it in a multifamily partnership for 15-20% potential returns.
I would GO TO SPACE!
a million would do that.. right...
I already had a K-car, so I would pay off mortgages for myself, Mom, and siblings. That would probably exhaust the million. So otherwise business as usual. You can't quit your job on a million dollars!
