uh, spiders are everywhere... and i'm not happy about it!

I have a friend who fears choking to death on ice cubes because after death they will melt and the evidence will be gone. My personal is actaully fire.....

I fear someone hurting my loved ones while I am not around to do anything about it.... I guess I have a Clark Kent complex.... Oh and spiders!

Actually most afraid that there's actually an afterlife. Be it heaven or hell, the thought of eternity scares me.

Since I now live alone and my children live in other states I fear of dying and not being found for a while and being bloated, decaying, and torn up by the dog who will dig at me to try and wake me up. I own a small business and it is seasonal. The other half of the year I sometimes may not chat or see someone for days to a week at a time. Seems everyone means well, but life keeps them so busy.

Exactly. It's the unknown. Seriously, you die and ... then what? Is it REALLY over? It's all done? Or is there something after? No one truly knows. You may *believe* this or that, but no proof. Very unsettling, in my opinion. I just think of something else entirely when those thoughts creep up from time to time.

No actually. They just want to have family and friends around. They don't want to be found face down next to the toilet 3 weeks after the fact.

Dying is not a fear of mine as I know for sure where I am going but being eaten alive would be horrific. However, actually I am claustrophobic so being buried alive I would probably have a heart attack before I would run out of air. LOL

For me it's drowning in something semi-solid, like peanut butter or jello. Or worse a true solid like a pool filled with mini M&Ms floating in syrup... yummy but also scary.

Dying because of an mosquito driver hit me. Be it a drunk, or a teenager, an old timer, or an amateur NASCAR driver that hasn't gotten his big break yet. Defensive driving is the name of my game.

Edit: Curious... I didnt remember typing the word mosquito in my post... Seems like Woot is shifting evermore towards a totalitarian website and wont let you post the word "I.D.I.O.T."... Growing more disenchanted everyday...

ANSWERING THIS POLL. Yay Me I conquered my fear.

Being eaten alive? Seriously? What are the chances of that happening? I live alone, and what if I have a heart attack? (I'm 60) I think you people are confusing real fear with imagined fear. I would hate to be skewered with a sword, but what are the chances of that happening? Also it depends on the circumstances, like being out in a field during a thunderstorm.

I didn't realize the choking to death alone was such a big fear.

Although, I remember choking on some food and I had that wonderful experience of getting tunnel vision and not being able to breathe. My life didn't flash before my eyes like it had in other near-death situations. It was oddly peaceful, like my life was just fading out rather then being some kind of violent affair. I was able to actually wedge the food free by myself and survived (obviously), but I am not as scared of this as I was before.

Surprised being buried alive hasn't been mentioned.
