I got my mattress on Saturday, 8/18. It comes back to life slowly, but it was pretty easy to tell that it is a really firm mattress. I slapped a 2 inch down mattress topper on it and slept like a baby last night. Even though I purchased the additional topper, this was still a good deal.

I slept very well on the new mattress. It is a little firm. I noticed that when I right before I got up that I was in canopy like cradle. There was some sag in between the joists in the box spring. Yes it does need to be absolutely flat or the foam will find it's way thru any slot and the foam will follow. I'll stop by and get some plywood for a more stable base and report back tomorrow

I told brand name mattresses in a retail store for over a year and as such wanted to chime in on a few the themes people keep bringing up.

This mattress out of the bag, two feet behind me, smells no different than any brand new mattress out of the bad. I don't notice any chemical smell that I didn't with other, non-memory foam mattresses.

All foam compresses from the forces over time. If you use the same spots on the mattress always it will develop sags. I'd recommend not sleeping in the same place every night, and also rotating the mattress 180 degrees every time you change the sheets to make the compression more even.
