I'm remarkably saddened by the results of this poll. I know it's "just a woot poll". But really, more than half the folks had an impulse to respond "no"!

I'm kind of heartened by the results. I feel like fulfillment is kind of the end goal; once you reach it, what else is there to do? Fulfillment begets complacence.

That's why we work so hard to avoid fulfilling customer orders.

I think it just depends on where people are in their lives and what their goals are. The answer to this question is likely to change multiple times throughout ones' life.

One month ago, I would've replied with an emphatic yes. That would be before I lost the person I thought I was spending the rest of my life with (ah, via break-up, not death, for the record). So today, I have to give the answer I don't want to.

I'm not unhappy, but I harbor too much bitter engineer angst to be truly at peace or anywhere close.
