But with this cutting edge technology you can just insert your iPod and a bookshelf sized device and when it from a remote control! Whatever will they think of next? Maybe a full-fledged stereo system just for the iPod? That would be really cool, especially if it could utilize your existing surround sound or other high fidelity audio equipment. Or maybe Apple can just build a AV switching receiver with an iPod built right into the device with its "screen" displayed on your flatscreen or the monitor. Thanks, W00t, for bringing the bleeding edge to the masses.
My prediction as to what the future holds is that music will be wirelessly transmitted over the air to little boxes throughout the worls. There will be choices as to what type of content one can listen to, anything from music to sports, to talk shows to news to traffic, and it will all be free thanks to mass marketing and commercials.. This new fangled audio service will soon to be followed by a similar technology supporting video.. Some video content will be free, other content will require a subscription.. These new services shall be called radio and television.. it will be amazing!

Doubtful, very doubtful.
