An egg on a burger

scrambled. although I am tempted to try the on the burger version.

I like it (very lightly fried) on my own homemade hash that's based on my grandmother's use of leftover New England boiled dinner. Yum! I think I need to go to the store and pick up the ingredients today!

First choice is probably on top of a big bowl of cheese grits, but fried egg is good with almost anything. I just made a fried egg sandwich on an onion roll with sun-dried tomato mayo and herbed cheese yesterday for breakfast. Mmmmm.

Cut up and mixed with hash browns.

On top of stacked enchiladas! Mmmmm.

Mixed up with grits (yes, preferably cheese grits) with bacon and some toast and jelly on the side! YUM!

Cracked open and fried in the middle of a piece of toast. Call it what you will, Toad in the hole, bird in a nest,egg in a hole, egg in a basket, etc. just make sure you get the part that was cut out to wipe up the yolk runoff.

In a flour tortilla with cheese, salsa and chorizo.

Demozthenes has the right idea! Nothing goes better on a spinach salad than a delicious fried egg. I like mushrooms sauteed in a mustard vinaigrette sauce over mine, though. Sriracha and I are not friends.

I like it as a "dippin' egg"...cooked over-easy and use the yoke to dip buttered toast in.

I likes me an eggamuffin.

As a side for a nice ribeye. Yes, my early grave awaits.
