Well, how do you fare compared to the Zeitgeist? Chat up your fellow wooters and let us know how lame this poll was or what obvious choices we missed. For example: Was this poll a) STUPID, b) DUMB, c) POINTLESS or d) ALL OF THE ABOVE?

d) all the above.

Rock N Roll Part 2 was wildly more popular, but Gary Glitter's Rock N Roll Part 1 was just as catchy and had lyrics you can sing to!

Im going to have to go with NONE considering the guy is a convicted pedophile. Every time that song is played at a stadium, it puts money into the pocket of a serial pedophile so that he can go to vietnam and molest more little girls.

Other than flaming some guy, I'd still like to know just WHAT "Rock and Roll" is.

(And btw, if he IS a serial pedophile... ah, better for me to stop now.)

I live the way I type, FAST, with a lot of mistakes.

Despite the hints in the comments, it appears that some are still in the dark about this.

There is a song by musician Gary Glitter called "Rock and Roll Part 2" that has been played at nearly every sporting event of the past 30 years or so. It has also been featured in probably 2 dozen movies. Even if the name does not ring a bell, you may recognize the tune.

While "part 2" is the most famous, there are other "movements" with essentially the same tune.

Glitter has had his share of legal troubles regarding his pedophilia.

No, it doesn't, every U.S. and Canadian team now use a cover version by a band called Tube Tops 2000

Rock and Roll Part Three reminds me of an album from my high school days by a little band called Ozma.

If you like Geek indie rock. (Sort of like early Weezer with keyboards added) check em out!

Actually, now that I've read more than I thought I ever would about Gary Glitter, I'm glad that Woot posted this question. I can't imagine tripping across this information any other way.
